Shocked and very impressed.
I bought this as a test before I wound up buying a Strandberg and shelling out the $$$.I've been playing guitar since I was 14, (I'm 36 now) a full-fledged musician and produce all types of music.I primarily deal with Metal and the main instrument is a JP(John Petrucci) Jem 7 string. So you can believe me when I say that this guitar not only surprised but strongly impressed me.Humbuckers I think I would like to change to something with a bit more output, however straight out of the box I had no set to do, it was pretty crazy and I'm still a little in shock.Likewise I am no longer purchasing the Strandberg due to how great this purchase went!PS, 2 years ago I bought a six-string fretless base from the same company and still have it, it has active pickups and I haven't had to change anything on it.So this is two in a row that have been successful.

Oh well
Nice wood. I like the satin finish. It’s got a decent neck but the first fret has divots, pictured. It came with terrible stock strings, brittle. They broke as I checked the 14 clamps, 2 per string, per nut slot. No matter, I started to change them. None of the new GHS Strings broke when tightened. That process revealed the true issues. The bridge hardware is very poorly made and very stiff. Seems like this unit may have sat around for a while without lubrication. Attempting to thread the nut with new strings was also extremely challenging. The locking parts don’t line up with the nut slots. Trying to get each string through those 21 little holes was crazy. Yes 21, 3 holes per string, at the nut. And, I hate the sharp string ends that protrude past each nut, also pictured. The pickups are just ok. Not nearly as nice as stock Epiphone or many other import Guitars. I even have an inexpensive Harley Benton that is much nicer, more well made with good tone. Comfort was ok, as expected. Again, I wish IYV took a little time and care with the hardware. Even after generous lubrication, threaded parts are still stiff. I can’t imagine having to change a broken string on a gig. Tools are required. There has to be a better design. A basic, full string change took way too much time. I can change a complete set on a Steinberger Spirit Headless in less time than it takes to do just one string on this IYV. In fact, I can change a full set of strings any other Guitar, domestic or import, much faster. Oh well, I tried it. I wanted to play fanned frets, multi scale. After playing this, that idea is fine. I like multi scale. I still may pursue that another time, on a different Guitar. Truly, there is no free lunch. You get what you pay for. In essence, I wasted a perfectly good set of new strings. That is the cost of this experiment. But, I did find out that I like fanned frets. With a better hardware, I wonder what this could have been.

not for me
I ended up not liking the way the strings were strong but it was a good guitar

Wow she gets down and goes low 😊🎸
My goodness... I'm blown away... I bought this guitar on a whim just wanted a 7 string...to play F around with...Saw it was only 267 bucks....im not a guitar player I am a metal singer/rapper who just wants to dibble and dabble around with guitar sometimes. When I did place the order... there was no reviews on it and I'm so happy the day I was waiting to get the guitar I saw the first review on it from a experienced guitar player and he couldn't believe it and he gave it 5 stars man was he spot on
