For fans of The Dirt...
Kinda like The Dirt Part 2, only with none of Nikki's soul-searching or Tommy's cheeky chappy charm. Vince is all about the partying and much of this book focuses on his boozing, doping and whoring about LA's notorious Sunset Strip. The chapters on the Motley House are very enjoyable, focusing on the band as they're cutting their teeth at clubs like the Troubador and Whiskey. But later chapters, dealing with Vince's solo career and his vices spinning out of control left me a little cold, to be honest.Overall, a recommend - especially for anyone who's enjoyed The Dirt or Nikki's Heroin Diaries - but, for me, not just as satisfying as those books.

Atypical shallow Rockstar !!!!
Back in the day I was a fan of the band but I knew they had a bad reputation. This book was no surprise but I didn't realise how bad it was! Vince Neil was a lucky man with a fairly good upbringing yet his shallow, misogynistic viewpoint towards women knows no bounds ! You expect that maybe for a twenty year old ,that might be the case, but that side of things never matured and in fact seemed to worsen. It made me cringe that he bought a beautiful house for him and his daughter to stay - then rented it out for porn shoots etc.! The book is full of stories but you have little empathy for the man because it seemed he was the wrecking ball for most of his life's disasters and he didn't seem to realise it (apart from his daughter's death of course which seemed to be the only time he acted like a decent human being). I have yet to finish it- a mediocre book as it lacks any depth or feeling on his part which probably sums up the subject matter. I just don't feel sorry for you Mr. Neil ! As a woman I am a bit ashamed to have bought your records to be honest!!!

What you see is what you get and if you love him, you'll love the book
Oh, Vince, you flawed and handsome man... This is an honest book and whilst clearly ghostwritten it's done in what you feel is Neil's voice and style. Interesting insight into a flawed man with demons who never quite seems to conquer them but tends to just get on with life without the sort of ponderous introspection of, say, bandmate Sixx. What you see is what you get and if you love him, you'll love the book!

OMG!!!
Being a bit of an 80's rock music fan (borderline obsessive say my friends & family lol) this gives you a look into the life and times of Vince Neil. Give it a read, that's all I'm going to tell you, you need to read this!
