My Yorkie has a very mild/low heart murmur, & my vet told me to purchase this. The last wellness exam they did not hear it! I can't say for sure that it was this product, but anything you can do for your fur babies to make them better is worth it. Can't hurt that's for sure!

It has been 3 weeks, please read my updates! :-)
My dog weighs 7lb, and he has CHF. I just got these in the mail on Saturday, so no results to speak of yet. I will update my review when I have something to share. I will say I give him half a treat twice a day. He loves them.I was devistated when I went to the vet and she told me that Uzi's heart was so enlarged that it was putting pressure on his trachea. My 5 star review is based on the hope this product has given me. If he improves in the slightest bit from these vitamins, I will be so happy. I'm very hopeful. At the very least, he thinks they are delicious.UPDATE:He loves these chews. It has been a week, and he is coughing less, and sleeping through the night which is great for both of us!The cats chewed a hole in the bag, and the chews have hardened, and he's less likely to eat them willingly now. They must taste yucky when they are stale.UPDATE AS OF 9/14: My dog seems to be doing better and better. He had been coughing because of the CHF multiple times daily, and at night. I haven't heard him cough in a couple of days- so he must be coughing very little. I read on several heart health websites that COQ10 increases the effectiveness of Enalapril, and he just had his dosages increased a month ago. He's had his medications increased here and there over the past 2 years, and never responded to the increase like he has this time, so I feel like this supplement is doing what it is supposed to be doing. He had a check-up this past Thursday and the doctor was surprised by how well he is doing. She said his lungs sounded clear, and she even admitted to me that she previously thought he had very little time left- but now she's very optimistic. I will continue to give him this product. He seems like his old self. He's perky and he is definitely comfortable.

They call them "chews" but they are as hard as a rock
It's a supplement so who really knows if it's working but all of my dogs have a hard time chewing it. It's entirely too hard. My German Shepherd and Pitbull will eat them ok but my Doberman absolutely hates them. She tries to chew it and spits it out because it is not chewable. I have to buy pill pockets, break the supplement in half, break the pill pocket in half, and cover each half with a pill pocket so she'll swallow it. Not cool.

So far so good
I have a 14 year old pomeranian that weighs 8.5lbs. She was recently diagnosed as early stages CHF. The vet put her on Vetmedin 1.25mg chews. They just cost too much. 50 chews is over $50. I started searching for an alternative and found these. For her small size I cut one chew in half. Then I cut the half in half. I gave her one of those pieces this morning with a small piece of cheese. She ate it fine. I'll give her the other half tonight. As long as she shows no signs of side effects from these and her cough does not return, I am hoping these will be a good alternative to the more expensive prescription medication. If these do not work, I will update this review.EDIT: Been using these for almost a month now. No coughing. The chews are hard and they don't smell great. But again, I cut them into quarter pieces and place a small piece of cheese on each piece before giving to her. She eats it fine but she's also trained to eat her medicine before she gets a proper treat. Show her the treat, take it away and give her the medicine and then the treat. Even the most stubborn dog will take their medicine this way. Put a bit of sliced cheese or get that squirty can cheese to coat the medicine. I'm definitely ordering more of these when I run out. They work as well as the prescription chews and cost much less.2nd Edit: Still loving these chews! I've started splitting the contents of the bag when it arrives. I place half in a zip lock bag and the other half in another zip log bag. I keep both inside the original bag. This keeps the chews softer over time. My Pomeranian is now 15 years old. She'll eat these chews without cheese now as she's so use to the routine of 1/4 chew in the morning and 1/4 chew in the evening. No coughing or heavy panting and she still loves to play chase!

There is no refund
I had hoped that my 10 year old Shiz Tzu would eat this since he has taken all of the other treats and supplement chews I have given him before but he did not even put into his mouth. I was suprised that he didn't even try to chew on it. Anyway I found out that there was no returns or refunds for this item although it was never noted or mentioned in the ad for it. Nowhere does it say that there is no return or refund. So if you buy it and your dog won't eat it you are out of the money you paid for it. So you better be sure your dog is going to eat it.

GI Upset
The vet recommended this product because my dog has a grade 3/4 mitral valve murmur. I’m not sure if it is working quite yet as he has only been on it for a week. However, I have noticed that he has been having a lot of digestive upset. He is a 13.5 yr old poodle and has had bouts of GI upset and allergies for years and we suspected it might be due to a chicken allergy, but it’s never been checked. He is currently on a salmon diet and since starting this, he has developed terrible tummy aches. I am giving him a 1/2dose of the chews. He’s 25lbs and I give a 1/4chew in the AM and 1/4 chew in the evening.
