Must read for anyone applying to their 1st job in tech
Appreciate Gayle's thorough approach. Definitely recommend for new college grads and those who never worked in tech and are looking for their 1st job in this space. This book is a beast and for me was best used by skipping around to relevant materials. Some of the sections such as resumes, etc. might be common sense but could be useful for others. I work at a top tech company and can say that Gayle is spot on with some of her insights. Found the interview section very useful. Would have appreciated a less dry approach ala Ramit Sethi. But wish it came from the author as she obviously is an expert in this job category.

Highly recommended
Your career is one of the most important aspects of your life. For the tech world, there are few books and resources which give you an insider's view of how the whole process works. Fortunately this book does. It covers both resume and interview preparation, as well as tech culture, handling and negotiating offers, and even career planning once you're in.What I like most about this book is its frankness and readability. The offers and opportunities you get are strongly related to how others perceive you, and having the knowledge in this book will give you insight into the other side of the table. That translates to confidence and better offers. I can't think of a better investment of $10 and a few hours, for getting your first offer or improving your career. If there's any shortcoming to this book, it's that it could be longer. Fortunately the author is on the website Quora and goes into detail on many specific questions.

... to get your foot in the door of a great tech company
This book focuses more on how to get your foot in the door of a great tech company. If you are hoping to get information on the different career paths within tech companies and how suited you could be for the different roles available, then this will not help much. I would say it's a must read for high school students who are considering a tech career, or for people who want to switch to a tech career.

Yes, I’ll take it
I was not so sure to order when there are many bad reviews. But “Hey,It only takes 0.2 second to be a winner in formula1 racing, if this help me 1% better than other competitors, It will do”. ABC!

An interesting and inspiring read!
Great an motivational book that lived up to my expectations! I recommend it to anyone who is intrigued by its description and title. The author shares her own stories and perspectives of the hiring process which she's got from working at several top tech companies. The book also provides plenty of concrete tips and pointers to consider for each step of the recruitement process.(TIP: I was originally looking for "the Google Résumé" when I instead found this book. This book is essentially a 2nd edition of "the Google Résumé". Between the two, I chose this one here and I wasn't dissapointed.)
