This stuff is brilliant. Ignore all the doubters who say it's too thin, and doesn't apply much colour. THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT. You build up to the exact depth of colour you need by using several or more coats. I put aboyut 12 coats on to an ash telecaster guitar body, and got preceisely the shade I wanted, a deep almopst lustrous cobalt blue and it took less than half of a 230ml bottle - still enough for another guitar project. I can't vouch for how UV fade-resistant it is, but it is NOT an analine dye, so hopeful;ly it will be fine. Top Notch!

Nice colour and finish. I use it for my guitars that I make by hand. The more coats you put on the darker it goes brought out the wood grain nicely just wear gloves!

I bought this wood dye to change the colour of some bamboo canes. It worked perfectly and dried pretty quickly too.

I was looking for a suitable wood dye to stain newly installed wood panelling in lounge. I was after a dye that embellished the spruce panels, and let me tell you DARTFORDS blue wood dye did not disappoint!The dye was applied easily with a prodec paintbrush and looks absolutely beautiful. Although the voc is pretty strong as its sprit based it soon dissipates with open windows. Ensure you make swift thin brush strokes - you will be able to build up a darker shade with further coats if necessary. I found one coat was sufficient, and a 1 litre bottle on a 3.5 x 2.5mtr area goes a long way with half remaining.This product is fantastic, and would highly recommend. The range of colours is one of the best on the market today.

Went on easily enough but can't see how I could get the deep blue without a hundred coats. Used it on new wood. Have a mellow understated foggy blue which is fine.

As thin and washed out as they come, don't bother
