Automatic Door Closer, Zinc Alloy Safety Spring Door Closer Adjustable 30 kg Closing Door Hinge (White)

My dad doesn't sleep well and when he can't sleep he stays up and watches movies. Headphones help with the sound but the flashing light of gunfights, high speed chases, and lasers going "pew pew" make for problems when I'm trying to sleep. My bedroom door naturally swings open due to our house shifting with age (they do that ya'know) and I have a cat who likes to roam the house at night so I can't just close my door less I be awakened at 2am by a murderous feline.After 4 years of using an old shoe to keep the door from swinging open, and then getting mad when my large breed dog comes in to sleep and pushes the door open but it can't close back by itself I decided to invest in this little gadget.GAME CHANGER!We bolted it to the door frame and gave it a couple courtesy tests. The tension on the spring inside is strong enough to close the bedroom door but not enough to push it it to latch/completely shut and click. Both the dog and cat have figured out how to nudge it open in their own way so they can come and go as they please during the night. No more midnight wake ups to flashing lights because my door is standing wide open!I did use the little metal plate that comes in the kit to keep the wheels from leaving marks on the door and no, it makes no sound. It does exactly what it says it would do, hasn't damaged the door and when I do want to leave my door a bit more open for air flow, I just get out the old shoe, wedge it a bit under the door and there ya go.

Really strong automatic door closer which can be adjusted for different doors and closing force. My dogs like to push doors open and if unnoticed they were staying open. This made sure the doors closed each time so our problem was completely resolved. There is no force required at all to close the door now which takes some getting used to but now is a convenience we have come to really appreciate.

So good so far. Silent operation! Very easy to install! I used much longer screws to mount it through the door trim to the stud, as my trim was questionable. My door is a medium weight door for which one of these spring closers works very well.

Every good review was spot on! I started with my own longer screws and practiced top, middle, and bottom of the door to see where it would work best. The door is a little heavy to close so the bottom seemed to work best. I mounted the mechanism on the trim and it held well. Then used the silver bar to hold the mechanism back one spot from where it was closest to the door. That was the perfect pressure for what I needed. It now holds the door to the jamb so the dogs can nose in and out, but my formerly feral rescue cat cannot run out! It is super quiet. Oh yes, instructions are useless! 🤣

Garbage. The picture shows an adjustment nut for the arm. The idea is to "fine tune" the position of the arm so that it closes each door properly. Not every door is the dame which why there is a need for this nut. When you don't have that nut the arm wiggles around and won't sit flat on the door and wiggles off a straight path on the door, off the guide plate provided. I didn't want to have to go buy one from a harware store when one was supposed to be provided as per the stock images that were picked to represent the product. So I ask for the part and was told a replacement would be sent. A whole new product was sent, same issue, adjustment nut missing. Additionally everytime this was sent the box was open in the delivery bags and everything thrown about so I had to make sure each time all the pieces were there. Both had the adjustment nuts missing. This is bad buisness when products arnt correctly represented. I'm sure their cost is 2.99 and we pay 9.99 so why can't it have what is shown in the picture? Not thanks I'd rather buy from a place with integrity.

This was an interesting and inexpensive way to keep a bathroom door shut. They really work quite well. A few basic tools and probably longer screws are required to secure a good attachment.
