they aren't the best but they get the job done.
They work well for suture scissors at this price point. I just needed them to remove a few extra small and tight sutures that would have been difficult with regular sized suture scissors.The hook at the tip could have been tapered a bit more, but it's more than good enough for all but the tightest of sutures.there is a certain amount of variability in tolls at this price range and i suspect the previous reviewer got a bad pair.

Perfect for home removal of stitches
Doctors are always telling you "make an appointment ($$$) or just take the stitches out yourself". These stitch removers work perfectly and save you an office visit! I can't stress enough to removed them when the doctors tells you because stitches are MUCH harder to remove if you let them stay in too long! Well designed and made. Painless stitch removal!

not what I though
I thought this would be like my last one. It is not as small, not as sharp, and seems to catch a little as you cut.

Extremely Effective; Don't pay attention to the negative reviews
I'm perplexed by some of the negative reviews and I'm glad I paid them no mind. I had about an inch long cut on my upper lip for which I received 4 sutures. These scissors along with some tweezers made removal extremely easy even for such a delicate, more intricate spot. The hook works very well and the sharpness and length is more than adequate.
