Great youth glove.
The quality of this glove is outstanding. For a youth glove they really do make great quality gloves that are not overly expensive. I would recommend this glove to any young player just starting out or depending on hand size a great infield glove to start with. It was somewhat stiff out of the box, but I used leather conditioner and maybe some mallet work on that hinge and it is game ready the same day. I definitely would advise using a leather conditioner first and let that dry for 24 hours before using though as the glove was super dry out of the box and get the laces really good. Both of my kids have this glove, and they like it a lot.

Great glove
Bought this for my 9 year old son after reading about the built in thumb support. We briefly tried an add-on thumb support with his previous glove, but quickly realized he wasn’t going to go through the hassle. After getting this glove and doing some breaking in, he gamed this glove right away and said it really helped prevent the pain of getting thumbed. I think the extra size over most youth sized catcher mitts gave him some extra confidence that he could make some more difficult catches, too. The leather and stitching seem excellent, especially for this level and price.

Excellent glove for the money!
My son, who’s 7, had a Wilson glove that was ok, but not confidence inspiring, it was also made of really low quality materials. It starts to deteriorate after 2 months of use. This Mizuno is made of all high quality materials and very durable. The leather is also very soft and supple yet long lasting. It broke in very quickly and he has much more confidence catching knowing it won’t drop or slip out. Highly recommended!

Good youth glove for the money and the power close design is helpful for youth.
Really like the web pattern and quality. My son has had 3 of the brown Mizuno prospect powerclose gloves as they were the easiest closing glove we could find but the laces were constantly blowing out. We went to a Wilson a550 beginning of this season as he is 11u and a little stronger which was harder to break in compared to mizuno and within the first week had 3 balls stuck in the I pattern and 2 blow through so was extremely disappointed in Wilson and started looking for a different web design while also looking for easy close and break in. Found this and was pretty stoked to go back to mizuno. Quality seems much higher than the brown mizuno prospect powerclose. My son does say the finger holes are tight and couldn’t run 2 in the pinky even if he wanted too and the finger hole for pointer out is also really small and he has pretty small hands for 11 which is why I took a star but overall it’s performing well and he can close it well. Color is also pretty cool but may be hard to find laces for when the time comes. About 6 weeks in and holding up well though.

Mizuno Be Making Mits
One badass mit! Once broken in it's best catchers mit we have bought yet. Material feel great, deep well, and weight is perfect. Don't forget, to purchase some glove conditioner. Keeps the glove a little tacky for easier catches. Hook Em Horns!

Great glove for 9U and kids with small hands
We just upgraded from a prospect 10.5" glove to this 11" Prospect Select. The leather is pretty decent, comfortable and is breaking in very quickly (we did use one quick round of HotGlove conditioner). My 9 year old son really likes it so far. He has small hands and it makes it hard to close to the comparable gloves from Wilson and Rawlings. We haven't used this enough yet to determine durability.

NO free returns, only if they ship the wrong or defective item.
Item was fine but "free" returns aren't actually free, definitely be aware before purchasing from Sneaker World. Additionally the customer service to address the issue was terrible and will not purchase from them again.

Great glove
Both my boys have this glove and love it. Neither one of them wanted to give up their synthetic gloves at first. I did a quick break in with a mallet and that was good enough for them to start catching. Both of them are in their third season. Playing last spring and fall they struggled with keeping the ball in their glove so I knew something was up. Took 15 minutes of beating each glove with a mallet and throwing to them boosted their confidence and you could see they loved them. 1 is 9 with his first spring Season in B ball and the other 7 in his third season of c ball. I can’t wait to see them apply this new confidence on the field this weekend.
