Used it in our custom build sauna. Love it!

I got this to cover up the hole in the side of the house where the dryer vent was exiting. The screen is too much for a dryer vent. This is more for air ventilation only. Otherwise it seems well made and sturdy.

We have this vent installed to a soffit coming out of a 4" bathroom exhaust. Contractor had no issues installing. There is a thin plastic mesh protecting the duct from critters, and the steel fins also do a good job in this regardFor the soffit/vent install with the vent facing downwards, do NOT use a vent with louvers since the louvers will always stay open with gravity and if the vent doesn't have a mesh, critters will get in.

This item is well made and matches its description. It doesn't match the description of what I ordered, but it'll do.

I used this as a protective cover for an air inlet that I buried inside a cabinet in my bus. The pictures don't really show it, but the outer edge has 3 little tangs which grab hold of whatever hose you attach. I initially intended to secure the hose with a clamp, but found it to be unnecessary once I added the hose. The outer grate is stout. I expected this to be thin, kinda cheap metal. I was mistaken; I did not go about any testing on the thing, but I accidentally dropped some hand tools on top of it after installing (into the floor of that cabinet) and it did not dent nor scratch. Your mileage may vary, and I don't intend to make a habit of that, but since it is in a large cabinet and things will shift during flight, I expect similar unintended tests will take place over time. At this point, I expect this vent cover to handle it easily.
