My chickens love looking into these mirrors!
Who knew how much pleasure chickens would get from mirrors! My little bantams are pets & a bit spoiled, but they keep proving they’re not dumb & enjoy toys as much as any other pet! I have one little roo who admires himself in his mirror so much he earned the name Pretty Boy! I don’t worry that these mirrors will break or in any way ever hurt one of my chickens. The film cover (mentioned in a lot of the reviews) does indeed peel right off & then the mirror gives very clear images. The problem is taking the time to fool w/ it enough to finally get a bit of the film to come up on the edge so you can get it started to peel off. It’s very hard to tell there’s a film on it because it’s attached & cut so well it looks like it isn’t there, but it is. I finally just fiddled w/ it w/ a pin head while watching a movie so I wouldn’t get frustrated & was able to get them all off. I also love how easy these are to wipe clean w/ just water. Great chicken toy!!!

Remove the film!
Needed cheap plastic mirrors for a project - almost didn’t purchase these because of all the negative reviews that you couldn’t see your image - until someone mentioned a film coating. I thought - how the $&!! did people not know to remove the film covering?! Well, now I know. The film adhesion reminds me of those medications that are individually packaged in pairs that when you are trying to open them, while sick, make you feel like you are dying a slow death. But I figured out an easy way! Use your fingernail to scrape the top of the film (which you can hardly see being affixed to it), just below one of the corners, and after a few scrapes, the film will lift. Pull off the film and you can see your reflection just fine.

Poor quality
I bought these to help my granddaughter with her speech. Only one mirror was usable and the rest were so cloudy I threw them away. Do not recommend.

NOT MAGNETIC
I searched for this type of item under "magnetic mirror" - I decided to get this one, from all the choices, because it was safer than the old locker mirror that we had and shattered (WHAT A MESS, it broke like a florescent bulb). That one lasted many years. However, this has no frame, no magnets, and will cause me more work/effort...something I REALLY do not need. Will I be able to locate glue and magnets that won't come undone or easily pop off the backing of this plastic? Can I cut it to fit the old frame? Can I get the last pieces of mirror out of the frame without cutting myself or shattering it further??It just adds more variables that I don't need. What I needed was a product that works NOW.Plus, for the price, I expected more/better. I mean...it's just a shiny piece of plastic. Four pieces of it (which I didn't need, but thats how they sell them). It's not a $10 product - I could have kept shopping for cheaper, but reviews here were good, so I thought I'd go ahead and order it.Dang.

They're excellent mirrors for those interested in a safe mirror type.
I read the reviews and many people claimed a hazy appearance. That's because they failed to remove the protective film on the front of the mirror. You can see the film peeled back in the photo I provided of what we received. On the back theres an additional backing film that can be removed to adhere it to a compatible surface. The mirrors are great and they're not odd in any way. If you want to flex them, you can and they distort the reflection as would be expected, but they are naturally flat and don't create distorted reflections unless you hold them into a bent position.

I enjoyed the lesser-star reviews almost as much as the mirrors themselves
Put these anywhere where you need to see behind something and weight/shatter is prohibited. And yes, they are easy to scratch (they are made of a polymer). I howled reading the lesser-star reviews. Knowing the mirrors are on light-weight but sturdy plastic, un-common sense dictates that there is a protective film on the mirror that must be removed before use. Amazing how a person's inaccurate perception of something drives a product's review. I give the reviewers of this product 2-stars because if I hadn't known about polymer mirrors, I wouldn't have purchased them.

Not worth it
I got these for art activities with my students to be able to see their own reflection. You can’t see anything in these they are so cloudy. They were a waste of money. So many better options out there.
