Great combination for a close shave…
Brought back memories of my grandfather who was a barber. Nice edge on the razor. This strop is a great classic style.

This thing is sharp!
had it several month now and i haven’t had to sharpen yet. The razor still cuts my facial hair like butter. It looks pretty cool/classic too. No complaints.

Decent blade
Really sharp, but the faux leather and fabric are unknown for me, they don’t help as much as they could, and as sharp as the blade is, it could always be SHARPER!

Decent razor to start
The blade is sharp but not sharp enough to use right out of the box. Blade quality feels decent, especially for the price.

Absolute worst shave i've ever had
Took it straight out of the package, stropped, and shaved with it, well, tried to. It was more dull than a fish knife. Shave sharp is NOT hard to do, even in a cheap factory, but this wasn't even good enough to shave with. After a pass, full of catches and pulls, it almost looked like I just scraped the cream off. Strop is also not great, the linen side is fine, but the "leather" side feels and looks like a vinyl swatch. Don't waste your time and money.

Great entry level razor
This is my first straight razor. I just finished using it for the first time and I must say, I am impressed for the price. I expected to have to sharpen it just to use it. It felt a bit dull, but it shaved my stubbly face, which I didn’t shave for days to test this razor, and I managed to get through the the process without cutting myself. I’m sure it could be honed better, but to pull it out of the box, hit the strap, and immediately shave with it is impressive to me.

Not sharp.
I'm sure my technique needs a log of work but this is not even sharp enough to shave with. I stropped it for a while, that improved it a bit but still problematic. I looked at the edge under my carson microscope and found it to be quite rough - a bit of stropping wasn't going to cut it.So I pulled out my water stones and smoothed out the bevels. Started with the Shapton 1000 and 2000 then up to the King 6000. Stropped it about 120 times in total, starting with green polish on my Sharpal strop and finished on the super cheap strop it came with. Now much better, but still needs work. I'm going to keep this as a practice razor and buy something better. I'd suggest the only reason you consider purchasing this is for the same reason. The hinge on it is also poor quality, I'm sure it will wear out quickly. And get a better strop, this one is garbage.
