With hot weather, followed by a long wet spell and now (probably briefly) hot again, we've been plagued with mosquitoes and tiny flies. We live near a stream as well which doesn't help. Having got fed up with the nightly mossy swatting routine before we can go to bed (I'm very sensitive to their buzzing and you always hear one as soon as you turn the light off!) I read various reviews and bought this one. To my surprise it really works. I set it up in our new extension (sun room) turned the lights off and within moments it was zapping like billy-o... We now put it in the bedroom with the lights off for an hour before we go to bed. It doesn't get them all, but it has reduced considerably the amount of swatting! The only gripe is that the 'extra-long' lead is nowhere near long enough - it needs to be twice as long. We have to use an extension lead to put it up on a high chest of drawers. Otherwise very good.

Fed up with the amount of fly's in the house. Got this and really helps.

This was a great buy, got all the bugs in my house, although it is loud when they get zapped.Bought it Sept 2023 and it has now stopped working. I expected it to last longer, will try a different make now

We purchased this last August but hardly used it. Went to use it last month and it is no longer working. Have had no response from the supplier and am at a loss as to what to do next.

I've been using this indoors for several months and found it satisfactory. Small flies and months have been attracted and killed. The light is bright and the bulb is replaceable. Great product well worth the price.

Each time a fly is zapped the loud cracking noise makes my dogs go mad. so can not use it!

Using this to get rid of cluster flies,which arrive every autumn in the attic.Leave it on a few hours per day,and it works well attracting the flies,as there is no other light in the attic.A satisfying crack is heard when a bug gets zapped,and every day or so,you empty the tray on the bottom,and clear out any flies in the light part.Was using the toxic smoke grenades before to deal with the flies,but this is a much better option,as it doesnt kill other things like spiders etc.The power consumption is just 20 watts,so on the current price cap,(Nov 2023),that works out at just one pence per hour.Just hope it keep working for a few years.

And I dont mean it will electrocute oneself.I was shocked at how loud it was when it zapped an insect. In a quiet room you will jump out of your skin.I dont know if other models are quieter, but it certainly can be heard across the house.Well at least you know another bug bites the dust, no getting up from that crack of of a spark.Dosent catch many bugs daytime, seems to work best in the dark where it is the only light source.Sadly I cant have it on overnight in the bedroom, the lamp is quite bright and then there is the loud zap.The bulb is a generic CFL and readily available should it need replacement.Overall I am please it does what it says on the tin.
