An easy way to convert your sneakers into slide-ons
I received this product well packaged and quickly after ordering. It contained 3 pairs (black, white and brown) of elastic shoelaces, adjustable spring to loosen/tighten, lace clip and a small screwdriver. The screwdriver is great for helping you to open the small clip that hold the ends of the laces.I suffer from severe back and hip pain, I needed to find another way to tie my shoes since I could no longer manipulate my body into certain positions.Once received, I quickly got to converting 3 pairs of my sneakers. Tried them on to gage how much slack I would need and where to cut the tips. For those who are stating that the laces do not work as advertised, I have a funny feeling that you didn't thread these properly. When threading the laces through the spring action round, you need to hold down the button on the top, then thread the laces through. Once you do this, the spring has something to grab ahold of to tighten/loosen the laces. Otherwise, if you just slide it through, without holding down the button, the round button will just slide up/down because it doesn't have anything there helping it to grab onto the laces.Once you have tried your shoes back on and find how much slack you need, you will need to cut the hard tips off of the laces. I couldn't close the final clip without doing so. I also followed other reviewers tip of using a lighter to seal the cut laces before closing the clip. You do need a good bit of strength to close the final clip. So, if you have weaker hands, you may want to make sure someone who has a bit more strength is around to close the final clip. Also, make sure that you've threaded the laces with the button facing up. I had accidentally done one facing down and hadn't realized until I had completed setting up the lace. This is where the small screwdriver comes in handy. I was able to quickly open the small clip, pull off the button, re-thread with the button facing up, reattached final clip and was ready to go.This is a great item for anyone or those, like myself, who are disabled or for small children who haven't yet learned how to tie their own shoe's. This item gives you the convenience of being able to just slide your foot into your favorite lace up shoes without the worry of how am I going to tie them. Plus, you'll never need to worry about your shoelaces coming untied and tripping. All in all I am very happy with these new laces. The price point was inexpensive for 3 pairs of lace. Plus, they come in a variety of colors that you can change your look anytime you wish. The laces feel quite sturdy for having elastic. They should last a good bit of time depending on how often you wear said shoes. I think the laces will outlast the shoe itself.I hope you find this product as easy to use as I did. And, that they're just as convenient for you.

Very functional and nice color to add to your shoes.
Easy to install and use. Have used multiple versions of this and love how comfortable and easy it is to use. They last a long time with repeated and daily use on the shoes. The locks work and don't slide and the laces work very well. Nice color pop to add a little more to your shoes if wanted.

Very Convenient, Strong Hold. Color and Elasticity Fade over Time
I've been using elastic laces like these for years. I've bought this brand and several of the others. This one stands out for color options like the gold pictured here. Several other brands only offer a few (usually very neon) colors. These laces are great for making any pair of shoes into a near-slip on shoe. For me anyway, I still need to hold the shoe to get it on. So not a true slip-on where you can just slide your foot right in. That said, these make it very easy to put on any shoe. The elastic gives enough that when putting it on that you don't have to untie or loosen them at all. Once on, they are snug and fit every time once you get the elastic where you want it. That adjustment is just a matter of pulling on the front loop with the button pushed. To install them, you just thread them through the lace holes as you would for any normal laces. Then slide on the clip that keeps the two ends together. Finally, you want to cut the excess that comes after that clip. Usually you want an inch or two so you can tuck that under the laces. Try to err on the side of it being too long, you can always cut it again. Because it is an elastic, I always feel like I am cutting two inches and then after the cut is made, there's just one there. At this point you add the clip that holds the ends together. Very simple. Takes just a couple minutes.Over time you'll probably tighten them a good bit and maybe even want to trim the excess again. You can open that clip usually with a screwdriver or anything with a small tip to use as a lever. Then cut the laces and reapply the clip. Very easy.Though I use these often and I'm generally very happy with them, they do lose a star for long-term quality. Like most plastic stuff from this low price range, this product isn't going to hold its color or shape forever. The photo I've attached shows the gold laces after about six months of nearly daily use with those shoes. You can see that the paint on the end clip has come off a bit, the color of the laces has faded (especially near the holes where they have rubbed against the shoes, and the laces are fraying a bit in places. Less visible in the photo is the fact that the elastic also fades over time. That is solved mostly by tightening a bit if they start to feel loose.

Works great and stretchy.
Works as it should. Very stretchy and easy to get your shoes on. The cap end fell off once after we locked it in place but I reinstalled it and it hasn't come off again. I might not have put it on correctly the first time. But my daughter and my dad use them and they both say it works great.

Some modifications required
Put these in my work boots as I work in a kitchen. I did have to melt the ends because I bought three pair and two of the three experienced slippage where the end piece came off. Once I did that they were solid. I wish they were longer so I could also use them in my boots. But tight. Finally the length adjuster doesn't work, just slips to the longest length. But I got what I needed. I've liked other brands better.

Better than shoelaces.
Does the job well. Does the job well. You can slip your feet in and out of the shoe and yet shoe stays put when walking or running.
