Supco VG64 Vacuum Gauge, Digital Display, 0-12000 microns Range, 10% Accuracy, 1/4" Male Flare Fitting Connection , Grey

I have used these gauges in the past and have competently relied on these for refrigeration systems from freezers that use 7oz of 134a up to AC units that hold 2000lbs of 507C. I decided to buy one for my personal HVAC projects. When my gauge came in, I immediately connected my vacuum pump. It quickly pulled down to less than 500 microns. When I checked it a few minutes later it had pulled down to 65 microns which is more than I have ever seen. I would say that this product does exactly what they describe it to be. If you have a worn out vacuum pump or a hose that is worn or the seals leak a little, you will get a false or high micron reading with this gauge. It is as good as the equipment you have it connected to. I have never had an issue with Supco and absolutely recommend this product to any serious HVAC technician.

Finally had a chance to use it and it reads vacuum pretty good below 500 microns but it does not hold the vacuum. It started going up as soon as I closed the valve. Tried mi friend's vacuum gauge with the same hoses and pump arrangement and it held vacuum. Tried it again with my Supco gauge and it did not hold vacuum. Fist time to use it and is NO good.UpdateI should have written a review for this product a while back. The company replaced my vacuum gauge right away without hassle and this one has been working well for couple of years and is still going. Sometimes you get a bad apple but I have been satisfied with the replacement. Thank you!

I haven't had a chance to put it to work, but if you were like me you have been watching videos and have seen this meter a few times. Seems like it is a decent gauge for the price.I wanted to post this to let everyone know the add is misleading. I believe the company has updated the gauge. It looks different and has a range of 0-19000 microns instead of the 0-12000 as stated.Going to give it 4 stars just because I want people to see that you will get a different gauge than the one in the picture.See the pic. Hope this helps.

Not much else to say other than it worked just like expected. I especially liked the magnetic strap. Old version didn’t have that. Made hanging it much easier.

All I can say is buyer beware! This item failed right out of the box. Took 10 minutes to get to 700 microns 35-40 to get to 500 microns. As soon as suction was isolated(valve closed) and pulp shut off it jumped quickly to atmosphere pressure. It will not hold. Regulate gauges held -30 for hours overnight, but this thing went straight to default. Tried to contact customer support, two days in and still waiting for call back? I just decide to return it and look for something that works and will hold pressure like it’s supposed to. There appears to be a lot of negative reviews like this all saying the same thing? How hard is it to make a product tha does not leak? Don’t buy this, read the other reviews.

Works well

Works like a charm. Easy to use. Requires 3 AA batteries but that is minor, and did everything I wished for when it came to putting a system into a vacuum.

Very durable. Been out in drenching rain. Below freezing temperatures. Still works. Only down side is double male hose connections.
