Without question the best stuff to use for slip casting. Mixing is quick and easy. Takes about 3 minutes to mix by hand for a smooth no lumps pour. I’ve used lots of different plasters and this product it by far the best plaster for sculpture and molds.

I compared plaster from the 5 pound bag with plaster, from a large bag of the same.There seemed to be a difference.The large bag plaster seemed to reach workable stage faster, and that workable stage lastedlonger before setting.Plaster from the small bag stayed liquid longer, and had a shorter workable period beforesetting.The large bag was much older, if that made any difference - but I can't help but wonderif the plaster in the small bag is actually USG #1. Especially since it is in a plastic bag withno label.

Very expensive for the amount

I was shocked to get a tiny 5lb bag when picking this up. The photo and description details both have 50lbs in them. I can get an actual 50lb bag from my local shop for the same price. Which I guess I should have just done in the first place.
