A Bargain For Exact Length Inseam Ski Pants !!!
I have bought multiple pairs of the Arctix brand of ski pants directly from Amazon in diffrrent colors and sizes for approximately $30 each.I am not an expert skier. All I want is pants that keep me warm, dry, and most importantly have an inseam that fits me properly since the boot zipper prevents alterations. Arctix is the only brand that has a 28 inch inseam for Men and 27 inch inseam for women. The Arctix ski pants check all boxes without breaking the bank. The waist sizes are adjustable with a velcro band on the side. The pants also have belt loops so you can wear a belt to tighten the pants. The waist range is slightly large because they factor in you might be wearing thermals underneath and if you are skiing or snowboarding, the gyrating motion requires the pants to be looser. These are nylon pants not spandex so there is no "stretch". If the pants are too tight, they will rip at the inseams when gyrating.I can fit a medium comfortably with shorts but I also purchased the ski pants in large in case I wanted to wear jeans underneath. At $30, I can buy multiple pairs. 😀I have worn the pants when temperatures and windchill makes the "real feel" in the single digits. The pants were extremely warm. You might even sweat in them. Lol.

Great value, super warm, well made!
I live and ski in Colorado. These are great ski pants. I have worn them skiing in temperatures near 0 at the base of the mountain, colder at the top. The price is fantastic. Lots of good pockets for storage, reinforced fabric on the inner leg, and a good zipper for expansion over boots. These pants are comfortable and come in an excellent range of sizes. They wash easily in your home washer. If you plan to spend any real time in freezing weather, these pants are great! Highly recommend!

Surely worth the money and overall value is great (I paid $30)
Surely worth the money and overall value is great (I paid $30). However, the fit is not perfect enough to warrant 5 stars.Pros: Insulated and very warm. Can easily where in the snow with no layer or just a thin layer (long johns or under armour).Reinforced ankles where boots kick.Price (I wasn't expecting much at this price, but these will serve me well for this winter's snow activities).Cons: Fit is not great. Crotch is very shallow, so you can't get waist much above hips if you wanted to.Reading reviews, I was concerned a medium would be too small, so I ordered a large. I am 5'9", 190lbs, and where 34"x30" Jeans. The large was too big. Way too much room in the waist and way too long. I could where over top of my jeans and they were still big and you don't need to where bulky layers with these because they are already insulated and very warm. The adjustable waist straps are useless as the elastic bands are not very strong and do not really cinch the waist at all and the amount of adjustment is very small before you run out of velcro room. If you are thinking of buying a size up because these straps will help you to adjust to fit, don't waste your time. They are truly useless. You will need a belt or suspenders to keep them up.But great Amazon service as usual allowed me to quickly return them and purchase a medium. The medium fit fine with plenty of room in the waist and just enough room in the thighs to handle full squats and maneuverability.Bottom line, if you are paying less than $40, you are getting a decent pair of snow pants that are plenty warm. Follow the sizing chart and don't go to a large unless you are over 200 lbs and have a 38-42" waist.

Prefer these to the Arctix Essential Snow Pants
.These are very nice snow pants. I had first tried the Arctix Men's Essential Snow Pants, received those in a size too large, so sent them back and ordered the cargo version. It seems like the outer material for these cargo pants have a much tougher outer shell than the essential snow pants. The insulation in the cargo pants feels much more substantial, and yet not as bulky. All the extra pockets are cool, though doubt I will use more than half of them. The fit is just right when ordering these using the same size pants I normally wear. Made the mistake of ordering the essential snow pants based on my actual waist size (which is several inches bigger than the size on the pants), those were way too big. These look very sharp in black. Still seems strange to me that Arctix is almost the only brand (that you've heard of) selling these kind of pants at a reasonable price. We don't ski or snowboard, but we do snowshoe, just wanted something that doesn't cost a fortune and keeps us warm.Update: After wearing these for a trip, even the Large size is a bit too big, will need to get suspenders for it if possible, or put a drawstring through the belt loops. I ordered a second pair in the Medium to compare, and that's way too small. Looking at the sizes, there are clearly big gaps in the fitment ranges, and if you happen to fall within the gap, you're kind of screwed. The Large covers from 36-38 inches, whereas the Medium covers 32-34 inches. What happens if you're 34-36 inches?? I am about a 35.That said, I don't think even losing two inches would make the medium fit well - still would be tight, so the gap is even bigger than it seems. So I guess the theory with these pants is just buy bigger than you need and get suspenders or a belt/drawstring??
