Works Perfectly!
This item really does a great job cleaning fruits and vegetables. It also helps in keeping them fresher for much longer. Really enjoy having this. The first few times of use, it did have an unusual odor, but now that has ceased.

DOA
The device I received did not have an operable ultrasonic function. So I paid hundreds of dollars for some bubbles to be blown in water.I've ordered another, but I'm cautious. Either QC is poor, that a defective unit of an expensive device is shipped out, or the device design is fragile enough that order delivery damages the internal. The only reason I'm trying a second time is because there aren't many non foreign junk products with ultrasonic cleaning that don't also generate ozone or take salt and produce Chlorine. I grow and purchase veges and fruit, so I plan on using it a lot. Thankfully it has a multi year warranty.

Safer Thinga?
This device uses ozone and ultrasonic the homologues to clean food and other items. The directions are clear and it is simple to use. A non plastic container should be used. Tested it on apples and later corn. The process took about five or six minutes. There was dirt in the bottom of the bowl. Wish there was a way to gauge the effectiveness. Like night driving glasses come with polarity cards it would be reassuring to to test. Did not really notice any taste difference but I felt happier after seeing the dirt in the bowl not on the produce. Bottom line we don't know what is on or in our food and can only hope they are accurate when they represent the farming method, organic or conventional, no gmos. Will continue he experimenting with this unit. It seems a small price to pay for safer things.

Combines Ozone and Ultrasonic Cleaning -- Two Proven Cleaning Technologies
The media could not be loaded. I grew up on a farm and am familiar with the chemicals used to produce our food. I buy organic when I can, but the selection of organic produce is often limited. I always wash produce -- organic or not - since the COVID outbreak. Now, there's more than chemicals to clean from our food. There are also viral contaminants spread by people in the distribution chain and at the supermarket. A device like this that combines two proven cleaning technologies -- ozone and ultrasonic -- is ideal.I've spent significant time in lab settings using both ozone and ultrasonic cleaners, so when I saw this unit, I was eager to see it in action. I've attached a video showing it in action. For reference purposes, I have it submerged in a 'half-sheet' pan (18" long, 13" wide, 6" high). I have a pan this large so that the unit and produce can fit into it. The unit is large -- 12" in diameter. I've found that it works best with about 4" of water, that's why I have a 6" high pan. The pan is stainless steel. Ozone breaks down plastic, so it's not recommended for use with this machine. Also, this wouldn't be recommended for cleaning things like plastic CPAP parts, etc.I used the setting 'Auto -- Raw -- Fruit' in the video I posted. The first 40% of the cleaning cycle generates ozone and charges the water with O3. The remaining 60% of the cycle uses ultrasonic cleaning. I can smell the ozone odor during the cycle's first part. Without testing, there's no way of telling what the concentration of 03 is, and I don't have a tester. The concentration of 03 depends upon the size of the container, so your mileage may vary. Based on my experiences with ozone cleaning, I didn't want to use a pan bigger than the one I did.The video shows the cycle in the ultrasonic stage of cleaning. As you can see from the shadows of waves on the bottom of the pan, the ultrasonic component is insufficient. That's why I graded this down one star. Effective ultrasonic cleaning would show much stronger waves that permeate the entire pan. I videoed this with a strong overhead light so you can see that the waves created are minimal. (Just like High School Wave Tank Physics). Ultrasonic waves capable of cleaning the apples would move them around, possibly even the unit itself. The waves generated by the unit are minimal and don't produce significant cleaning results. The unit is charged with a USB C input. Flashing lights indicate when charging is complete. Lights also show the stage of the cleaning cycle -- ozone, ultrasonic, and on/off. The digital display is great! It's informative and easy to use.I'd feel better about this product if the kit included an ozone meter that indicates whether a sufficient concentration of 03 has been reached. Second, the ultrasonic generation needs to be improved. Effective cleaning waves can be seen and felt. They would move the apples around. This unit is a great idea, but it's not ready for prime time yet.

Seems to Work as Advertised
The media could not be loaded. This might be a good device if you have worries about your fruits and vegetables not being clean and being contaminated with pesticides. This gives you at least some way to take action so it might be worth the investment. One thing I did not like is that it requires that you provide a glass container. (A plastic container is not recommended. I guess a metal container might work as well.) I had a large glass mixing bowl that I used. I would like it to come with an appropriate glass container, like the one pictured in the listing. You need a certain amount of depth for the device so I’m thinking most people may not have an appropriate container to use. Since this is not an inexpensive device, it would be nice if they provided everything you need as a set.It seemed to function well. I tested on strawberries. I found seeds and such at the bottom of the bowl when the cycle was complete. Does it remove pesticides? I can only assume so since I cannot test that aspect. This device is not limited to food. You can also clean jewelry and other things you want to deep clean. There is a special cycle for those items. So, if you want to do as much as you can to clean your fruits and vegetables then this might just be for you.

The DTX-1 uses ultrasonic waves and rapid oxidation to cleanse fruits, vegetables, and meats. It releases active oxygen molecules into the water, completely penetrating your food to eliminate toxins and pesticides. Plus, it's been tested and approved in Switzerland and the European Union for safety and effectiveness. What's even more impressive is its versatility. With multiple cleaning modes, I can use it for raw foods, thermal treatment, antiparasitic treatment, and even detoxify household items like keys and jewelry.
