Q: are these solid or holllow inside?

Solid. And they stuck great. You won't be moving it once it's down.

Q: I don't want to rely with the sticky part. I'm planning to use a rope through the hole. Is it hollow enough to do it? Can you see the light through it

I have had them on my garage floor since end o June 2023 and the sticky pad has held them in place. I do have a painted floor in my garage, here when I purchased the house. Never looked to see if the holes where hollow though. Had similar concerns but so far it is working well with only the sticky pad.

Q: How do we remove them?

Using a shovel or a prying device, you can pop the parking aid from the floor. You may need to scrape the remaining adhesive from the floor, but I would recommend using Goo Gone first to help release the glue affect. It should clean up much easier that way.
