PetfaceToyz Rope Ball Chew and Tug Dog Toy (Pack of 1 - Colour May Vary)

My new rescue dog loves this ball. It is made from 'squishy' rubber, but is strong enough for my dog, a German Shepherd cross, not to have destroyed it... yet. Apart from chasing and fetching the ball, which is easy to throw quite a distance because of the rope, he loves to carry it around or sit and mouth it. Good, well made ball and at a good price.

I walk dogs and always have two of these balls with me, and a couple of extra stored in my car. Every single dog I walk (that plays ball) wants this ball and no others. Puppies love them as well. I have given these as Christmas gifts to my clients. One owner told me that she put the gift bag under the tree and her dog immediately went and pulled the ball out of the bag. They love them that much. The ball itself is a soft malleable rubber, easy for them to carry in their mouths. I think it easily carries a scent, so it easier for them to find in tall grasses, etc. It will float in water, but be careful because it can get carried down a stream. The rope will eventually come off when wet. This is fine because it is not needed. With a lot of chewing, a split can occur in the ball. It is still very much usable for throwing, but would keep an eye on it to see if it splits more. None of the dogs use this as a chew toy. Only given to them for the walk and put away when finished.

The ball is bright and strong but soft, and bounces in a way that catches my dog's attention. However the rope is thin and frail, his teeth tangle in the threads often, and I let go because I worry about hurting him if it gets truly snagged.His smaller claws also got snagged in the loose threads which was an adventure to get a wiggling dog free from.

Decent throw toys for dogs pity when I ordered 4 at once I got 4 of the same colour hence 3 stars , would have given 5 if they mixed it up

My dogs love balls but they are very particular about the type of ball they will play with. They won't touch most of the normal types of balls you find in pet shops or tennis balls. They have to be a little smaller than tennis balls, have exactly the right amount of squish when they are chewed, bounce enough to be fun but not enough to be intimidating, and have the right kind of texture.Apparently this ball ticks all the right boxes and was an instant hit with my dogs. The rope is an added bonus as I have a disability and it makes it easier to pick up and throw, but also one of my dogs likes chewing and tugging ropes so I don't know how long the rope will stay attached lol

The ball looks good and is quite bouncy BUT the string came off the ball during our second use, much to the disappointment of our German Shepherd puppy. I would say that the quality of the way the string is attached is poor. My husband was left holding a long piece of string. It is the right size for our dog and is quite chewable, but really disappointing.I have just taken a second ball out with my dog. Despite the fact that we don't play tug with balls, just fetch the string parted company with the ball on the first throw. Really poor quality. If I could have given zero stars I would have.

My dog loves this ball so much! It is a joy to watch him playing with it. The pink one is easy to locate in the grass ( green one not so easy ). Very hard wearing. Will definitely buy again.
