Thought this would be better than a wooden one but the diameter of the cross piece combined with extra weight means it sinks into the batter too much. Have gone back to wooden one.

I'm learning and initially, I thought the metal version would be the best. They are beautiful and my son had a lot of luck using them. The spatula is especially useful. As a newbie to making crepes I found the weight a little challenging, but not impossible. They clean easily and just require a little expertise. I'm working on it!

You have to make sure to practice letting the weight go where it needs to go to be allowed to drag it evenly. If you pull it down too far or not enough, the center will not stay in place

Just what I have been looking for for years!

The guy who designed it for sure doesn’t make crepes. To spread efficiently the batter on the crepe maker the spreading part of it should be larger by 50% at least and to make sure it doesn’t drag the lower cooking part of the batter once poured on the plaque but only the top remaining liquid part to spread n cover the entire plaque, it has to be light. It’s not the case here.

Worth the price and last forever! Very useful product, great spreader!
