Is this made in the USA

I just received the hats and the box says Made in China. I didn't even open it. I'm returning them. When you read the details it is unlike the other hats that say "Imported". It doesn't say that.

How well does it protect the face?

The brim on this hat is a tad longer than the typical hat (but not too long that it blows backward in the wind) and really protects your face. Also, Other hats typically have a white brim on the underside and I always quintet even if my face was protected, but because the underside of this hat is not white, it doesn't reflect the sun and I don't squint- I love that! I wear this while walking but mostly boating and it's very lightweight, adjustable to your head and if it gets windy and while we're underway, the chin strap is great to keep the hat on my head. I love not having to adjust my ponytail down my neck anymore just so I can wear a hat- this works great and I can keep my ponytail up and my hair off my back.
