Propper Tactical Mesh Ballcap

This cap is exactly as advertised and a great match for OCP uniforms. Did in a pinch when my Base Exchange ran out of tactical caps and is slightly cheaper. However, while its exceptionally unlikely anyone would notice let alone care, Air Force and Space Force personnel should be aware of two potential issues:1️⃣ Mesh Color Regulation Gray AreaAFI 36-2903 (5.1.10) states tactical cap mesh must be Coyote Brown, but other uniform items (shirts, thermals) treat Tan 499 and Coyote Brown as interchangeable. Since the reg uses slashes (Coyote Brown/Tan 499) and parentheses (Coyote Brown (Tan 499)) rather than “or,” there's ambiguity.If questioned, you can argue:✅ Precedent: Other regs equate Tan 499 with Coyote Brown.✅ Wording: No clear distinction is made between the two.✅ Intent: It aligns with the broader uniform standard.2️⃣ Unauthorized Supplier IssueAFI 36-2903 (1.5) states uniform items should come from AAFES MCSS or official issue. Since this cap is from a third-party seller, they may ask where you got it and hem you up for getting an out of regs item from an unauthorized source.Bottom Line:✔️ Solid cap, comfortable, and OCP-matching⚠️ Mesh color could be debated⚠️ Not from an approved uniform supplierIf you're USAF/USSF be ready to justify your purchase.

The mesh is more like a sage green instead of a spice brown. I bought both versions of this cap for both of them to be the exact same thing💀
