I much prefer the silicon bungs to rubber ones.

Used to be an enthusiastic home wine maker until about 25 years ago and most of it was actually very acceptable. Recently I came across all my old kit, including hydrometer, corking device, sterilising tablets etc and thought it would be fun to restart. The only thing missing was an airlock, always easily broken. Within days this appeared as an option on Amazon vine - how did they know?!Not yet used but they seem good. Not as attractive as glass ones but made of tough, non-brittle plastic and very unlikely to break. The stem fits into the provided silicone bungs quite easily and I was pleased to find that the bungs fitted my 35+ year old demijohns nicely. I like the dust/evaporation-reducing caps on the end though not sure how necessary they are if the water airlock is filled correctly.Would recommend though quite expensive and 4 stars rather than 5 due to that.

It does it job and works well

The media could not be loaded. Nice packaging but bubbler will not bubble. It has completely locked in the carbon dioxde and the air. The red lid is on so tight that nothing has can enter or escape. Because of the tightness the offgas would have to be at such a pressure to push the water aside, so now it leaks air in through the bucket seal instead which is wrong. I thought it was good value for money but now I found out they don't actually work for their main purpose I say no. I went to a local brewer shop and bought some decent breathers and my mead is fermenting properly now. Avoid these.

Simple to use and functions as it should 👍 nice size aswell. Defo good value for money as it is a twin pack. Same appearance as photos
