The tube doesn't extend far enough down into the container so as to allow product to be used adequately unless the container is almost full.

I bought this particular sugar dispenser because it matched the style of my salt and pepper grinders. I like the style, and I think it is well balanced; it's nothing to fancy, yet more eloquent than your basic diner-style sugar dispenser. It is easy to fill and big enough to hold plenty of sugar, though perhaps having a slightly smaller capacity than a typical dispenser. The glass is plenty thick, and I dont feel like I have to worry about it breaking. I thought the price was reasonable.That said, I wish it had some sort of flap or lid or stopper, something on the spout to close it off when you're not using it. Unfortunately, theres nothing, leaving a wide open hole allowing flying debris, dust, etc., to fall into the sugar. This seems like a design flaw and is a major drawback to me. It is the reason this product only gets 3 stars.Overall, I can neither recommend, nor discourage, buying this product. I'm not sure I would buy this again; if it didn't match my other table items, I don't think I would. It really depends on your personal preferences of style and features.

The top broke after trying to be opened to fill. I was able to open the lid just fine the first fill but when I went to open it for a second fill, the top broke.

Great sugar dispenser. Highly recommend.
