Good Value Entry Model to a numpty...
After hours of research on here, I was stumped. I had a entry level Electric Drum Kit for Xmas, and wanted to hear it out loud now and again. This unit was a sensible price point, not to bulky, and allows for me to hear the drums rather than through the headset, its it gig quality, I'm sure not, but I live in a Semi detached house, and I'm sure the neighbours are glad its not. Plus I'm a leaner rank amateur, so its perfect for me.

Sounds good at such a chep price
Got this for live perfomance of VST's using midi controllers on Windows laptop. The unit has a second input for another instrument or mike which is handy. I expected this to be very light (in weight) but it's surprisingly heavy but that adds to the great sound it produces. In a practise situation you'll hardly need to touch the volume - man it is loud. I'm considering another to use for stereo situations. Great unit for the price.

Almost perfect
I needed an amplifier for my electronic drums, not wanting to play them directly into my expensive studio monitors, and gave this 80 watt amplifier from Coolmusic a go.It sounds great. It has more volume than I will ever need (and I like volume when it comes to music) and it reproduces the varying frequencies of all drums, from the kick at one end to the hihats at the other.Unfortunately the amplifier has one issue. I expect a modern amplifier to be silent when I switch it on with nothing connected. This amplifier hums, albeit fairly quietly and possibly quietly enough for many people. Not for me. A bit of investigation revealed that it is not mains hum but mechanical hum caused by the transformer vibrations being amplified by the wooden box (not electrically amplified by the amplifier).By inserting rubber washers between the transformer and its mounting I was able to considerably reduce the hum to levels that I can live with. It would be good if Coolmusic (or whoever actually makes the amplifier) could pay some attention to this part of the design as it lets down an otherwise very good product. It shouldn't be hard to fix.NB, due to the cause of the hum I expect that different people will experience different levels of noise depending on how carefully theirs has been assembled, although I doubt that anyone will have a silent one.In conclusion, this is a very good drum amplifier if you don't mind a bit of background hum when you're not playing, and it can be greatly improved if you're suitably electrically/mechanically minded and enjoy tinkering.

Good value for money
Very good value compared to similar products. I use it for foldback, with output to the main sound desk. At last I can hear my own notes when playing with the band.

Seems a good amp for percussion
Only three stars because I wanted it for a keyboard, which it is advertised as being suitable for, but it doesn’t really tick the boxes, sound wise, for me. Seemed a well made bit of kit though.

It's Really Good....!
I received this amp today. Even before unpacking it, it was clear that at least one of the criteria that I had in mind prior to purchase had ticked a box..... that being size, and it does have a small 'footprint'.Weight was another thing I had in mind, and that box was also ticked. It was well packaged with good inserts in the box to prevent knocks in transit, and was simplicity itself to set up, with my tablet connecting to the amp's Bluetooth within seconds. The sound is (to my none audiophile ears) very good, and I suspect that when I have time to have a fiddle with the controls on the amp, and the settings on my e-drums I should get everything feeling right.A little tip now.... If you want a dust cover for the amp, just buy a cheap, large waterproof rucksack cover. It works a treat!

Well made for the price
For the price of this item, £135 in sale its far better quality than most at that price and had sturdy handles near the controls. Bluetooth is easy to set up and it works well with my electric drum kit. Its also a very powerful bluetooth speaker
