Nylabone Extreme Tough Pro Action Dog Chew Toy, Cleans Teeth, Bacon Flavour, Small, for Dogs Up to 11 kg

This is probably the 6th time I have bought this. My dogs love a nylabone chew and this is clearly one of their favourites. In terms of durability these get chewed everyday for 10-30 minutes. If you had a bigger more extreme chewer I would suggest an extra large, I buy medium which is about 15cm long. There is a meat scented core as soon as mine get to this I take it off them for safety. These are good value and are often on offer which is even better.

I have 2 Great Danes and 2 Miniature Dachshunds, and they love these chews! I have tried the smaller version but they didn't last long (not because they weren't any good, but because my dogs are all obsessive chewers! The bones have a great flavour which encourages the dogs to chew them, and they are brilliant for keeping their teeth clean as the material forms small peaks when chewed which helps prevent tartar build up. They last for months and months even under heavy wear, and seem to get better the more they are chewed. The only warning I have, is be careful not to stand on a well chewed one- it's like standing on a porcupine ! In my opinion, the best chews- ever!! I have included a photo of a new chew , and one that is nearly 12 months old so you can see for yourself how long they last!

I have had loads of nylabone products as I have a strong chewer so he gets through them fairly quickly. However, these products do keep my dog amused for hours. With this one I don't really understand the textured middle bit as my dog chews on the ends not the middle which is what these are designed for so it seems a bit gimmicky. Despite this though the price was good so I felt it was worth it and my boy loves it. Be warned though that all these plastic products can become very sharp once chewed which can cause bleeding gums so throw it out once it gets too chewed up.

We bought two of these months ago and one has only just had to be replaced as it got too sharp through a lot of gnawing with sharp teeth. I am quite happy with this as our dogs are strong and normally destroy anything that gets anywhere near their teeth.The dogs, both quite large, love these and they both turn to them after their afternoon meal and spend a good 30 minutes or more just quietly chewing away. These are the only dog treat/toy that distracts our two monsters and keeps them quiet and that alone makes them worth the money.Highly recommended.

Very happy dog!!!! Bought as gift

Same as all the other nylabone toys/chews I buy, I could buy one or could buy 100 and they always want the same one.Worse than kids, I must of bought all different varieties of these and they always want the latest edition, if these are on offer they are great prices. Last well and the dogs love them. I’ve tried everything and seen my dogs wreak them in seconds or don’t last long at all, I get at least a month out of one of these!!UPDATE: I’ve changed my review to 1 star. my dogs got this for Christmas and as you can see it’s 18th January and the thing is wreaked, lots of small parts fallen off and very sharp for the dogs mouth! I have bought lots of nylabones and this one has to be the worst. I will replace this with another nylabone but this one has to be the worst one in the range. DO NOT BUY!!

Within a very short space of time, less than half an hour, Monty had managed to chew this till there were very sharp pieces sticking up. It didn't seem to bother him although it's uncomfortable for me if he's on my lap! I don't know if these pieces will break off so will need to be vigilant. He seems to enjoy the bone, although not as much as some of his other toys. I didn't think Monty was a particularly aggressive chewer compared to larger breeds, i.e. labs or staffies, as he is a 11lbs, 4 month old Schichon (Bichon/Shih Tzu cross) but he managed to damage this toy very easily, so for owners of large breed puppies, this bone is probably not suitable for your fur baby.

These are a lifeline for us - we have a 7 year old Border Collie who loves to work at a bone for hours on end during the evening. Without a Nylabone i'm not sure what we would give her that wouldn't end up being dangerous for her. Despite her best efforts, these last months on end (perhaps 6-9 a time) before we have to replace them. She never gets bored of it so the bacon infused flavour must be good - but I can't admit to having tried myself....If you have a dog that likes to chew bones, honestly - buy them this. You won't regret it.
