This makes loading water VERY easy as not even a drop spills when i hold it upside down. One downside however is removing and placing back on bottle is VERY difficult

I have purchased three different companies product similar to this. I think this model is the best because of the following:*****Reusable caps*****1. BPA Free2. Inner Foam Sealing Ring3. Very well sealed outer (peel and remove) and inner (white/clear) dust cover4. Thinner better sealing flexible cap (easier to remove)5. Reusable cap remover6. Very minimal leaking issues when the bottles are stored on their sideI try not to use any of these with the old 5 gallon bottles with the seam that goes from the lip of the jug down the side. These are prone to leakage in and of themselves.I usually soak the caps in a hot 10% bleach/water solution to kill germs from manufacturing and transit.Update December 23, 2017:BIG Plus - The cap opener makes these reusable. Once you figure out the best angle the cap opener pops the cap off the bottle without destroying the cap. Once you have removed the cap, slide the cap opener into the cap hole in order to resize the hole for the inner (white/clear) probe cap. DO NOT force the cap opener into the hole for resizing. If you do this, the inner (white/clear) probe cap will not stay in place.Update December 27, 2017:Regardless of what I'm about to say, these are still the best caps for the reasons mentioned above.1. The inner hole where the (white/clear) probe cap fits will reshap just fine as long as you DO NOT try to force the cap remover into the hole when reshaping. It will over stretch and leak severely. Then the entire cap just becomes a replaceable throw-away.2. When using the cap as a replacement, due to the fact that you no longer have the glued on outer peel-off dust seal, the cap will leak some when the bottle is stored on its side.3. When storing the bottles on thier side, make sure that the pull/remove tab on the cap is aligned with the handle on the bottle. Then turn the handle of the bottle facing up. Even the original manufacturer caps have a tendancy to leak in this area.Update: 01/22/2018:When placing the cap on the bottle, push down with firm strength. Try to do so making sure that the bottom lip of the cap is relatively even; this will help ensure an even installation and very solid seal around the neck. When you hear that "pop" the cap should seal with a sort of suction like feel. That's the secret :-)

I’ve a storage rack for my 5-gallon jugs where they are stored almost sideways (tilted a little upwards). These are the only caps I tried which actually don’t leak. The most important functional property is satisfied right there. Taking them off by hand can be tricky sometimes but a pair of pliers solves that problem. I’ve order these 8 times so far. They come in a 20-piece set which is not the most economical option though.
