Great for Dog People!
I was looking for a kayak that was big enough and durable enough to take my dog in but was an inflatable because I live in a studio apartment and have no space to store a hard kayak and this fit the bill. I’ve been wanting a BOTE kayak for a few years now but with mixed reviews and how expensive they are I was worried about purchasing it and it popping. I decided to just go for it when it went on sale and was 40% off and I’m so glad I did because this kayak is so nice and just what I wanted.I include my dog in just about everything I do and wanted to introduce him to kayaking after I decided to get into it. I have two other inflatable kayaks but never felt comfortable with taking him out in the water in them due to how small they were and I was worried that they never bottom was gonna make him uncomfortable but these are PERFECT FOR DOG PEOPLE in my opinion. The material it’s made of is super thick and the base of it where your feet goes is kind of foam like so even if your dog has a bit longer nails I personally don’t think it would be at risk of popping. The bottom of the kayak lays completely flat as well creating a stable space for my dog to lay down without feeling insecure. The kayaks scraped over underwater trees and rocks and it still is going strong months later. The weight limit says “300” but they recommend sizing up if you’re within 50 pounds of the weight limit. That worried me but i didn’t know about that until after I purchased it. I weigh 240 and my Australian Shepherd weighs 55 pounds so I was worried but in the end it handle both of us no problem (I only go on flat waters/lakes) and we weren’t sitting deeper in the water or struggling to paddle either. Even with my dog being a large breed both him and I fit in the kayak comfortably with room to spare. Someone smaller could easily fit one large breed or one to two medium breeds of a couple small/toy breeds. The kayak inflates super quick (takes me about 10-15 minutes) and has three separate air chambers incase there is a leak so that it stays afloat u til you can get back to shore and patch it. The pump it comes with is specific to the kayak and screws into place so you dont have to hold it. A big plus for me was that when you unscrew it it doesn’t immediately leak air but has a stopper so you just have to screw on the lid afterwards with no stress. My only real complaint is that the seats while they have the same valve the stopper part doesn’t seem to work so I have to really be ready to screw it the cap on or the air leaks out super quick. Also this kayak is a pain in the butt to fold up and have fit in its bag after using it a few times. At first it went back to the normal shape after deflating and went in the bag perfectly but after a few times of using it even with it having no air inside it struggles to fold up in a way that fits in the bag where you don’t have to fight it. The last time I used it I wasn’t even able to zip the bag up all the way.

Awesome if your looking for portability and lightweight
Been using the Deus for a few weeks now and it been a great experience. I got it mostly for fishing.Portability- awesome fits in trunk easily- it gets easier to fold up once you’ve used it for a whileDurability- has been scraped by branches and rocks and still holding up great.Usability- being an inflatable it’s very easy to get moving. Wind will blow you around a lot. if you stand up you’ll turn into a sail boat. Get a small kayak anchor if you want to stay in one spot. It easy to stand up on this kayak. Very stable I’ve had zero worries about falling over.Overall I recommend it if you need something portable to be able and store/transport. But if you can get an normal kayak you’ll have a more enjoyable time

100% Awesome inflatable Kayak!
The BOTE DEUS Kayak/paddle board exceeded my expectations in every way. The quality and sturdiness of this Kayak is amazing! I purchased this in hopes that my dog and I would feel comfortable and safe kayaking in the ocean Breachway and salt pond with currents and tides. It preformed very stable and I am seated high and comfortable. My dog loves the kayak and seems to feel safe because of the high sides at the bow. The quality of this BOTE is unlike anything I have ever seen in a inflatable kayak. The underside looks like an actual boat! ( BOTE!). Sturdy bow reinforcement and underside rail for rocks, etc. The floor panel is a non-slip quality surface that I doubt my dog could ever puncture. I will fish from this BOTE Kayak too without to much worry. It’s lightweight to carry but a little cumbersome as I am only 5’5 so I will purchase a kayak wheel transport. A taller person will have no problem carrying Kayak with a shoulder strap. Customer service was absolutely spot on and answered my questions immediately. Shipped and delivered as promised in very secure packaging. I took the advice from another review to photo the unpacking from the quality carry case (which has wheels), because some said they had problems re-folding the Kayak to fit. I have not deflated yet but don’t perceive a problem. Last note, everyone at the campground inquired about this BOTE and were amazed it was inflatable. I purchased the wood grained with white and aqua green. It is absolutely Beautiful! Best purchase from Amazon to date. Thank you BOTE!!

Love my Deus Kayak/SUP
I searched for a while trying to figure out what kind of kayak to get. When I saw the Deus Aero, I first thought inflating it would be a chore. It is really not too bad. We got a attachment that fits on our electric air pump and it inflates very easy. When we deflated it, a friend had a electric pump that also deflated it. (I will be investing in one). I deflated it before with hand pump and that took a bit of time… but overall it is not bad.I took it out on a calm morning and it glides like a champ. The wind picked up a bit later in the day but it handled it well. I notice that compared to other non inflatable kayaks, the wind is less forgiving, but I do not plan to go out on real windy days. The seat is AWESOME! I have some lower back issues and this seat supports wonderfully!I also used it as a SUP and It was very supportive under my feet. The kayak is stable and very easy to get in and out of.The straps on the front held my dry storage bag and when I tumbled over everything but me stayed in! I also had a small ice chest in the back that didn’t go in either. Next time I will bungee cord it in. There are plenty of hooks that will allow you to secure your gear. The front has a hook where I attached my small anchor as well.I’m looking forward to many more outings on my kayak! Thanks Bote!
