Q: It states that you add 4 drops to each feed. Does this vary on the size of the feed?

Hello, Thank you for your enquiry regarding Care Co-lactase. Please note that Care Co-lactase is a food enzyme which helps to reduce lactose in milk for babies. For proper use add 4 drops to warm breast milk or infant formula before each feed. The meal size should be as per manufacturer’s instructions in case of Infant Formula and Ready to Feed Formula. When breast feeding: • Express a few tablespoons of breast milk into a small sterilised container. Add 4 drops of Care Co-Lactase® • Give this to your baby on a sterilised plastic spoon or using a syringe and continue breast feeding as normal. The only exception is when making formula in advance. In this case the recommended preparation guidance are as follows: • Make the baby formula according to the manufacturer’s instructions. • Add 2 (two) drops of Care Co-Lactase® to warm (not hot) milk and store in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours • The prepared formula must be used within 12 hours of making it. • Warm to feeding temperature as normal when you need to feed. • Discard any unused formula. Q: Does this work for reflux?

Hello, Thank you for your enquiry regarding Care Co-Lactase Infant Drops. Please note that Care Co-Lactase Infant Drops are lactase enzyme drops which reduce the lactose content in breast milk and infant formula. Care Co-Lactase Infant Drops are sugar, preservative and flavour free. Lactose is a complex sugar found in milk, dairy products, infant formulas and breast milk. Lactase is the enzyme usually produced by our bodies to break down lactose into more simple sugars so our bodies can absorb it. The immature digestive system of some babies can have trouble breaking down the lactose in milk into more simple sugars. Transient lactase deficiency has been highlighted by NHS as a cause of infantile colic. Therefore, we cannot recommend it to be used for reflux. Furthermore, as we are not in position to provide medical advice and/or recommendation, we would kindly refer you to a health care professional regarding advice for the appropriate treatment. Does what it says

Use this to remove the lactose from formula milk for baby hedgehogs that I hand rear for a rescue. It works brilliantly.

Didn’t see any difference

I didn’t see much of a difference when using this product ! My baby has severe milk allergies so may work better for those with mild intolerance.For that reason I wouldn’t purchase again and just make sure to cut out all allergens

Helped my little one a lot !

So far it helps my little one who’s suffering with colic and reflux.We’re suspected lactose intolerance and as we’ve seen a massive improvement with co lactase on her being more settled and less discomfort we can now almost assume she’s lactose intolerant.The product is really easy to use, no need to wait 30 minutes as other brands.It didn’t constipated my little one at all.It’s also cheaper than others and avec 10ml so around 60 feeds.

Game changer

As a first time mum with a baby with terrible wind and colic I have tried everything. Although expensive I wanted to try co lactase over Colief as they can go straight into milk rather than having to wait 30mins. At first I didn’t really notice a difference but stick with it. Now been 2 weeks of solid usage and my baby is sleeping much better meaning we are too! They are expensive and I buy a bottle a week but rather have a happy baby and rested mum and dad. We use drops with anti reflux milk and a prep machine.

Works great, so got it free on prescription instead!!!

Tried this to see if it worked for my baby. It did. Bottle last around a week, so very expensive. Asked dr and was prescribed it no problem.This is also better than colief infant drops in the yellow box,Co lactase is instant feed and colief you have to leave in the milk for 30 mins before feeding. How has time for that with a hungry baby!!
