Does the job
Does exactly what it's supposed to do.Extension cable is needed as cables are a tad short. That tho is your decision depending on how you want to place it and connect.

Brilliant Product
I have a great deal of time for all Oxford products - being a regular user of HJC helmets and Armr clothing. And I’ve used Oxford Oximisers for almost 30 yrs - and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them above any other charger/optimiser I have come across in all that time, including the incredibly expensive ones I used whilst working in the bike trade. For around the cost of a family takeaway, your battery is completely monitored, safely and securely, even on modern bikes with complex ECU’s and rider aid’s. Install the ring lead and it’s simply a case of plug and play - great product, great price. Whether you have just one bike or are in the trade, this is an essential item

Great for motorbikes and lawnmowers
These are essential if you you don’t want to replace your motorbike/mower batteries every year or two. I have had the Oxford optimiser 601 for a few years and finally got around to buying one for my other motorbike. This one is the new model and charges the battery and keeps it at optimum charge well. It has various stages but essentially you plug it in and off it goes to charge and look after your battery. It comes with a hard wired and crocodile leads depending on what works best for you. No faffing or complicated set up and the read out is informative, lots of detail and even has a light. Considering a battery costs more than one of these I would definitely recommend as it will prolong your battery life and pay for itself in a few years. Fit for purpose and comes with a nice holder if you want a permanent fixing.

When it fails, you are on your own
This failed after two months. You cannot return through Amazon, who direct you to Oxford Products. They ask for proof of purchase, fair enough - a screengrab of invoice. And photos. And a check with a meter of battery voltage. Then they tell you it is faulty, and to claim a refund from Amazon. Fat chance - the sale is through Amazon Marketplace, so jump through hoops and you get nowhere. Back to OP who want you to post it to them for checking, with 'we don't pay return postage'. 'We will sort that out later'. We shall see.

Keeps battery in good condition
I have a motorcycle that is kept garaged through the winter months. Having had battery failure, due to it not being used, I purchased this Optimizer. It keeps the battery topped up and only kicks in if the voltage drops. Saves messing with a new battery and the fiddle to remove and replace it.
