Replaced an old one step laser with this beauty. I’ve been looking for something to assist a diver getting in the boat and the handles on the ladder are more than adequate. Latching system is okay but can come undone in rough seas. I added a safety wire to prevent the ladder from extending accidentally. Very impressive ladder none the less!

This ladder has a lot of great things going for it. The construction is top-notch and the retracting handle system is brilliant! You might want a strap to secure the extension lock as it could be accidentally bumped into a release, but I don't see this is a big issue.The one problem I've encountered is that the steel used to form the slide rails isn't super thick and if it's not supported properly it can deform under load and cause the retraction mechanism to jam. If this unit isn't bolted tightly to a very rigid platform that provides full inflexible support along the full length of the mounting rails, it will be a problem. We have it attached to a swim platform made from stacked planks of starboard which have some flex to them. This creates issues for the ladder's operation. I could see the same thing happening if you had a traditional slotted teak platform without sufficient backing plates in place. As you can imagine, a 200 lb guy standing on the end of an extended ladder can apply significant torque.

The media could not be loaded. I received this ladder today. It is a wonderful design but the ladder is off center and unhooks off the one end when I push lightly. Not great quality control for the price point. I tried to reach out but couldn't find a contact for the company. I might return it.

I am looking forward to putting this ladder on our Pontoon boat. This will work PERFECTLY as it folds away to be tucked away in a small space. But yet it still folds out to make a stable & durable 4ft+ ladder. I would recommend.

THIs is a great collapsible ladder. Made from all stainless steel, the water is not going to hurt this thing. The telescoping functions perfectly, making it easy to fold it up and out. One caveat - the handles you use to pull yourself out of the water could be a little sturdier, so if you have very heavy individuals trying to come up this ladder, you might want to have them come aboard a different way lest the handles bend under stress.
