Great kettle!
Perfect, nice kettle and great value. Easy to use, light, button for ease of opening lid, noise level is good, fast boil. All in all for the money it is great value. Also looks nice as a bonus!

Great filter for hard water limescale
Nice fine mesh on the filter keeps the limescale out of the cups for hard water areas. I've been down the route of descaling kettles and after a few days the limescale is back so I've given up and I'm totally satisfied with the performance of this kettle's filter in doing the job instead. The great thing is there are replacement spares here on Amazon should you need another filter.I find it's better to boil a little more water than the cup marker indicates and then tip away and shake out the rest because with experience I can tell you that the last few drops of water contains lots of limescale specks.Add to this that it's fast and quiet, making this a top notch product all round.Excellent buy.

OK at the price but some issues
Likes: price; boils quickly (quicker than my previous R-H kettle); button-press to open lid, which opens wide; window which allows to see how much its filling at the tap (but see dislikes below).Dislikes: doesn't switch off quick enough on boiling (same as my previous R-H kettle) so steams for 2-3 seconds; the 'Perfect-pour' spout doesn't pour perfectly, especially if only boiling one cupful - water drips ether side of the spout on pouring (my previous R-H kettle had wider spout and _never_ dripped like this one....); window does not light up when switched on (previous R-H kettle window lit up making it much easier to see how much water was being boiled).I wanted a cordless kettle with button-opening lid and window and didn't want to spend much, interested in utility rather than fancy design or looks. I'd been fairly happy with my previous R-H kettle which similar design and price and lasted 4+ years before the button-lid stopped opening (broken) and I could see no way to repair it, so this R-H kettle seemed to fit the bill in both design and price. I've been using it for 4 months now and I'm happy enough with it but, like my previous R-H kettle, it doesn't switch off quick enough on boiling so produces a fair bit of steam until it does click off (it has never failed to click off, at least) so if I'm nearby I manually click it off. I don't know why they narrowed the design of the spout, my previous R-H kettle with wider spout poured just fine and never dripped, unlike this one which drips either side of the spout when up-ending the kettle when only one cupful of water is boiled - annoying. The kettle also doesn't seem to sit as snugly on the base so it wobbles around a bit when boiling.... The push-button lid works well though, and it does boil a full load quicker than my previous R-H kettle. To me the design and looks are fine too but then I'm not fussy about such things, just want it to do the job.If it had been a £40+ kettle I'd likely have returned it and tried another model or make, but for £19 with a 3-year warranty (2 years + 1 year on registering) it'll do!

A good item for the price and compact on the work surface
This is a good product, lightweight and easy to use with only a little niggle that filling is not too easy from a water filter jug, otherwise it is very easy to use.

Okay ish
Seems okay, relatively comfortable to use, relatively fast boil and pours okay ish. But it's rather lightweight and plasticky. In retrospect, I think I should have paid more and got something a bit better. But it's got a three-year warranty so time will tell if it grows on me.

Designed by the summer intern
The good bits. It boils fast, it is quiet, it has a little window, it is a reasonable price. If that is all you need then you won't be unhappy with your purchase. But it is ugly. The pictures don't do it justice. So ugly even a mother couldn't love it. My daughter started crying when she saw itand asked what happened to it.If this kettle was in the Everglades it would be playing the banjo. And talking of mothers, it looks like the illicit offspring of R2D2 and a wheelie bin.Ideal for a workshop kettle, soon covered in greasy fingerprints, paint and epoxy filler, taking a beating. And with it's flat floor and concealed element you can boil eggs in there, too.But put it in your kitchen, though, and watch his mother purse her lips, fold her arms, and tell him his bedroom is still there if he needs it.You have been warned, pay a couple of quid more and get something your best friends of thirty years won't laugh about as they leave your dinner party. 'OMG, did you see that kettle? I believe design was School of Elephant Man, during his 'You call that ugly?' period.
