The media could not be loaded. I got this to restrict a bathroom window ( a fire safety one so opens very wide ) to prevent my house cats getting out plus the wind taking hold of the window when open.Works perfectly .It doesn’t come with instructions however there are some illustrations in the product description, which I followed .Once I positioned the latches installation was easy . They are self tapping screws provided however I did pilot hole mine as it was difficult to get any purchase due to the position of mine .The latch is also easy to take off if you wish to have the window open wider ( which we need as it’s a window that is a fire escape option ) with it being spring loaded .Good value for money but does need some kind of instructions in the pack to improve the overall product

Due to having house cats, we can't fully open our windows. These devices work perfectly to allow fresh air into your home without the fear of your cat escaping. Depending on where you install the hook, you can alter how much of a gap can be left. If you install closer to the hinge of the window, the wider the gap can be.In new builds, these are perfect to try and let some cool air into your home in the hot summer months.We did find that the actual section of the window the latch was to be placed in was a struggle. We had to use a hammer to make sure it went in properly as it was too wide to be placed in without any additional force. This did cause a slight bit of damage on one window, however this isn't noticeable unless you have the window wide open. The part attaching to the window was no issue.Definitely worth buying but be wary that it might be more of a struggle to install!

These are good restrictions. Needed them to fit to first floor windows for a rental property.Can be a little fiddly to fit, and I found that a couple of them needed some extra packing.Once fitted, they do the job though.

This is the second of this type of catch I have purchased. The first was of better quality. I have fitted this one successfully, and it does function. But unfortunately this purchase came without instructions, so you have to rely on the fotos provided by Amazon and your skills if you have never installed one of these before.

Great quality

This product is pathetically UNSAFE.The tab which the mechanism hooks on to just fell off the base after installation. There was nothing holding it there. Whatever pressing mechanism they used to join the parts clearly didn't work on this one. So I suspect there will be a number of these products with the same manufacturing defect.This defect renders the whole mechanism useless, but what's worse is that you won't notice it until it just comes off when opening the window.I'm just glad I tested it before my kids did.

Easy and quick to fit. It’s a simple, neat and clever design. Could include a longer version to enable a wider opening.Good value for money.
