AllPondSolutions Pond UV Light Steriliser Clarifier Filter, 7w - Helps Remove Algae and Greenwater

At the end of last summer I made a small raised pond to fill a space we had in the garden. It's only 35 Gals or 160 Ltrs but it's just what I wanted. I put a couple of plants & a couple of small fish in it. Everything has been great until the sun came out this year and everything went green. I had a huge pond at my last house with massive filters & pumps I tried putting a fountain pump in with a built in filter on the front. This looked good but done nothing to help with the green. As I don't want to clutter the place up with equipment I looked for a small uv light, Found this one & I am so glad I did it's great. Arrived on Sunday, fitted it on Monday & by Tuesday afternoon I could count the bit's of gravel on the pond floor. The water is still a bit cloudy but hell it's only been 24 hrs. As you can see in the photo's the only filter is the foam on the front of the pump, It would be better to have a filter after the uv light but this set up is doing great. The pump is a 700 model for fountains in ponds up to 1500 Ltrs. I can't recommend this light highly enough. It's a fantastic bit of kit, small enough to fit in without looking out of place but with plenty of power to do the job I wanted

The UV lamp arrived on time and installation was very straightforward once I procured the right size piping and clips. It is being used on a small duck pond, has a good flow rate and cleared the pond of green algae within a couple of days. The build quality appears really good for the price, and replacement UV tubes are readily available.

I bought this for my pretty small Tropical fish tank which had a common issue with algae growing all the time.I am a very experienced fish keeper having had Marine, Tropical and Koi ponds..Knowing that the small amount of water in a pretty small tank can become unstable quickly , basically too many nutrients either over feeding or filter not balanced properly.I received my package and went to install it inline with my external filter. Arrghhh didnt work.I looked out for the little blue light within the unit to tell me it was on but it wasn't.As the bulb is accessable even with the unit plumbed in i took it out and to my horror found the bulb to be broken, twisted and just not in a good condition.I ordered a new bulb at my own expense and have contacted this company and made a complaint.Now give them their due, they have eventually responded and have offered to send me a replacement bulb which i am currently waiting upon.I don't blame the product as its a great UV Steriliser, I have used these before many times with no issues at all. I put this down to an isolated incident, probably in manufacture and after me getting a new bulb worked floorlessly and has not let me down at all.I would reccommend this product to anyone who is having algae blooms as it will get rid, but be aware this may just be masking the excessive nutrient problem within your tank..My tank is now algae free.

I reluctantly bought this after my rather expensive homemade filtration systemfailed to remove green water from my pondi used this for 24 hours noticed a stark reduction in algaeturned it off and 24 hours later my water is crystal cleari was stunned how effective it isi wish i bought this first before the filter(Downers) Came without a plug for some reason and did not fit my 1/2 inch hose

Initially I was very pleased with this uv clarifier. My small 500lt pond was very green and it became crystal clear after just 2 days. However after 2 weeks my pond started to green up again and on checking the unit I discovered the bulb was not lit.At first I thought it must be a blown bulb, but on checking the bulb it was fine, using a volt meter i was able to determine that a current was flowing through the bulb. I then checked the two pin slots on the unit where the bulb slots in and was unable to find any voltage output. I also checked that the power supply to the unit was working and didn't find a problem with that. The only conclusion was that either a wire had come off somewhere inside the unit or there was a fault with the built in transformer.I am returning the unit for a refund. Unfortunately with something like this I cannot afford to wait to buy another unit with the refund, as in 10 days time my pond will be nothing but pea soup. There are few units on the market that would suite my setup and price range so I have little choice other than ordering the same unit and hoping that the problem won't repeat itself.

We are new to the pond world, and we have worked hard and spent alot of money on our new pond, a lot of people had said we needed to get an UV light, so we purchased this one!! Was really excited about having a nice clean pond, when this arrived we didn’t expect to put a plug on it! No fixings came it! And surprise surprise the bulb doesn’t work!! We waited till it got dark and went to see if it’s on, as no indication that it is working!! And we can’t see any glow from the bulb coming through the clear hose attachments, We are absolutely discussed with this product! Really gutted! We now have to spend more money and wait even longer to purchase a better one! If I was you I wouldn’t even recommend looking at this, and we are in 2 minds weather to purchase anything else from Amazon!
