Q: Is it actually made of stainless steel as described? Can parts go in dushwasher?

I'm not sure but strongly suspect it is stainless; the boiler is non-magnetic. I wouldn't recommend the dishwasher though because the boiler can only fill and drain through the narrow fill hole and the even narrower tap. This means it's likely to end the cycle partially full of water and possibly dishwasher fluid. I would recommend rinsing by pouring clean water into the fill hole with the tap open a few times. It's a fun machine, though.

Q: can i make cold brew coffee with this machine?

The word "brew" comes from "using hot water". "Cold Brew" actually is misusing the word brew since in "cold res coffee", the water actually is not being heated up.To answer your question - "this machine" works on the principle of boiling water so that it transforms into steam. Otherwise this machine would not work.This machine does NOT WORK to make COLD BREW coffee.

It is not plastic at all. Only glass and metal. The product arrives in a box, and in the box there is a thick plastic protection around the machine. But non plastic on the machine it self. The base is sort of wood, could be kind of plastic.
