Citizen Eco-Drive Men's Nighthawk Chronograph Watch

This is an awesome looking watch. It works perfectly well. I actually got one as a gift a few years back but it ended up full of scratches so I bought a new one as the repairs would’ve cost almost the same. So this review is with around 5 years of experience. The watch again looks great I always got complimented on it. The only problems I had were how easy it is to scratch. The glass is crystal and not sapphire as most expensive watches should be. Meaning again it’s v easy to scratch. So me using it for a daily watch and swimming n sports n all literally ruined the looks of it. But it never stopped working or lost time. Even when it was kept in a drawer for 2 years, it didn’t stop working but rather went into power save mode. That means the chronograph second hand stopped working and the regular small second hand was working in 2 seconds intervals. Left under mobile flash for an hour it went back to working perfectly well. The black finish looks great, but also easy to scratch. Some reviews mention the watch being hard to read in the dark, that’s true to an extent. In pitch black darkness it actually illuminates. And the difficulty reading it is the price u pay for such a beautiful watch. It’s not impossible to read but u won’t be reading it in a glance in semi darkness. Some review said this is the watch ninjas wore if they wore watches. That is probably true. All in all, I would definitely recommend this watch but I’d suggest saving it for occasional wearing and don’t push its boundaries with every day use. It looks great and to keep that look safe take care of the watch.

This is a most Awesome watch !! It looks fantastic on the wrist and has a nice weight to it.. It is quite difficult to see the hands in a lower light but still looks really sophisticated. It is noticed quite a lot more than most of my watches (I have 43) . Yes get it you will not be dissapointed !!

I purchased this watch so I would not have to bother with the boring ritual of changing watch batteries. I wanted something "low key" so opted for the "nighthawk" model. The watch is great...... rugged and very well made. It charged very quickly from the box and I found the band very easy to adjust (I had to remove a few links as I have fairly small wrists).I was surprised at the actual size to the watch - it looks a bit smaller on the Amazon picture - however it is not overly large.The only reason I have reduced the review to 4 stars is the relatively high cost and a very small issue with reading the dial in low light (probably predictable if you buy a black faced watch).

I decided not to keep this watch in the end although debated it as I really like the look. It feels a bit tinny when it was on and the clincher was there was no way to use it in the dark as it has no luminosity, but I did know that before I bought it. I needed something that felt more robust. Does look great though.

Awesome watch!Slightly difficult to see in low light condidtions, but umm... If you didn't expect that then maybe you can't handle this watch! After some time in the light it does have a faint glow in the dark feature on the watch hands / time markings but this isn't overpowering and suits the watch well. The watch strap is massive (I'm 6'3 and it is loose on my wrist, it would be ideal if I were obese..), easily adjusted if you have the tooling or at a jewelers / watch shop.Excellent value and fast delivery from Amazon.

Almost unreadable is low light, I had it under a 700 lumen room light and it was difficult to read.Compared to other watches at this price point it's flimsy. The edges are sharp and uncomfortable. The clasp does not feel strong.For 30 pounds more you can get the next eco drive series and its far far more robust and has better features.Don't waste your time and money.

A lovely watch, fantastic (mostly) all black design. Eco-drive is faultless and beautifully accurate. Great (large) strap (free adjustment at most decent Jewellers) with an excellently designed secure clasp. Easy to read in daylight and also performs brilliantly under green semi-covert illumination and more importantly under night vision safe lighting, e.g. as found in a C-130J :)

I bought this watch with all the other reviews in mind; it's difficult to tell the time in the dark, and in poorly lit conditions. This is true, however, I bought this particular watch mainly as a fashion accessory and it looks and feels fantastic.
