Q: Is it good for kneading dough for making flat bread and Indian rotis or just cakes?

It's great for everything I make bread, pasta and fondant with mine, saves all that kneading by hand. Would definitely recommend.

Q: Can I get a bowl cover for this? Would like to keep the stand mixer out on my worktop.

As far as I know when I was ordering my mixer there are covers that I am sure will fit and thecolours are red and black.If you type in food mixers accessories you should find and look at the measurements and I am sure they will fit your mixer.

Q: Can anyone tell me which tool to use to mix pastry with?

Have n ot attempted pastry but it must be the simple hook. Have used the thin wirey one as a whick and the other one to mix cake.
