Q: I'm on the 5th floor of apt building. Can I combine 2 of these ladders to extend the length beyond the 32 feet length (in an emergency)? If so, how.

You probably could but it’s not made for that and would be too complicated in a real emergency. Plus being on the 5th floor you should have sprinklers, fire escapes, fire doors etc in your building. If not you’re living in a fire trap.

Q: Can you use it multiple times ?

Yes, it can be used all the time. You can also fold it up and put it in the bag when you are not using it.
