Q: Does it change the colour of the suede once dried? (Make it darker)

No I found it doesn't. I used it for genuine UGG boots and it was fine

Q: Will it works on fine leather as well?

For smooth leather I would recommend some other protector, maybe water based kaps sneakers protector
