USB-C Hub That Works Well
Good quality USB-C hub that works great out of the box. Make sure you don't used devices that draw more than what the hub can handle as its non-powered.

Great unit
Bought this to use with my envy x360. Works well with my laptop, and I’ve also used it with company issued Lenovo without any problems. Would be nice if the USB-C port wasn’t just for power delivery and if it had a couple more usb ports. Otherwise, it’s a good unit

Randomly disconnects
I have been using this usb port for about 5 months now and it has been randomly disconnecting , I use it for multiple screen displays and at random times it just disconnects. Quite annoying. I thought buying oem HP means quality and reliability, but apparently not the case for this product. Thumbs down.

Not powerful enough
Not powerful enough to supply power to my laptop. My laptop always warns it would lead slow charging, so I had to return it.

Discription Is Incomplete
Not what I was expecting. There is no cord to plug into electricity so this is usless to me.

Hardware's not supposed to be buggy
A USB hub is an appliance. You expect it to do its relatively simple function every time, with no issues. This HP USB-C Multiport Hub is not it.I've used all its ports: USB-A, USB-C, Ethernet, HDMI, and power delivery. I consistently have problems with the last two.I can't tell you how many times I've been an hour into using this thing and gotten a popup that says my battery is about to die. In my many decades of computing, I've never had device that just randomly decides to not provide power, but this HP hub does it repeatedly. Usually it puts my device into some Windows power conservation mode that makes everything glitchy too.The HDMI port is also unreliable. Sometimes my TV will say there's no signal when everything is plugged in. Sometimes the screen will sporadically flicker black as if the hub decided it needed to reset the HDMI connection because somewhere in the universe there's an enchanted forest where someone sneezed at just the right moment.I get these things for free at work. Every once in a while I get fed up with the one I'm using and try in vain to replace it - maybe I just got a bad one. I've tried 3 or 4 of them, and the issues remain. So here I am writing an Amazon review when I ought to be playing games because I got fed up with the USB hub doing such a bad job that the game wasn't fun anymore.I've given it two stars because often if you unplug it and plug it back in, it will work as expected; but only 2 stars, because you shouldn't have to fiddle with a USB hub.
