Issues playing older software - but with an EASY FIX...!
i *LOVE* my bone conduction headphones, and i will very likely buy these again. Also makes a GREAT GIFT for anyone who enjoys audio.Issues with older software? Yeah; for which there's a simple fix, that I'll get to in a minute. But first - accolades are in order...Feather-Weight! It's so easy to forget i'm wearing these - if i can't find them, the first thing i do, is raise fingers to my temple, and check my own head! They are just THAT lightweight and "non-noticeable" - which is another way of saying these are EXTREMELY comfortable to wear, even for hours on end. Some are concerned the “temple pads” will press too hard against the top of your cheek bone. Not to worry. For better or worse, i was blessed with a “larger-than-average” sized head - I wear a hat size 7½.These NEVER press in too hard. In fact, i often just walk around the house, sort of half-forgetting i'm wearing them. Also FANTASTIC, in terms of holding a charge. Before i even plugged them in - when they first arrived shipped from Amazon, they came to my door, already 90% charged - right out of the box!I’ve been enjoying them for about six weeks now.And when they say "Fast Charging" - they mean it. From a paltry 10% - it gets fully charged up, in less than sixty minutes. This is likely due in part, to its USB-C charging port which i absolutely LOVE! No more of this silly "rightside-up-or-upside-down" nonsense. It plugs in - the same - either way - i LOVE THIS!What about "Noise Cancellation"?? Hmmm. Well, ‘No’. But nor should there be. After all - the whole point of "bone conduction" is to leave our ear exposed so we can still hear outside ambient noise. As opposed to "Noise cancellation" which - by definition, would be the opposite of this.So it's no surprise i could not find the term "Noise Cancellation" mentioned anywhere in the product description (nor even in Answers or Comments). This said, one might reasonably expect this device allows you to hear BOTH digital media (from your playlists or podcasts), while at the same time - allowing you to hear outside ambient sounds (eg - birds chirping, car horns, sirens, people speaking, etc). And it does; but not too much more than a regular pair of headphones. Meh; maybe SLIGHTLY better; but the end-user experience with "bone-conduction" feels nearly the same as conventional earphones. If someone wants to speak with me, i must turn down the volume, or pull one away from my ear - just like headphone users do, when someone tries speaking with them.On the other hand - if it's background noise, such as music, police sirens or someone yelling - then YES; i'll be able to hear that, and i don't necessarily require i turn them down; unless i want to hear the exact words being yelled. But none of this is a deal breaker, and so far as i can tell - this is no fault of the device. I'm no doctor, but after enjoying this bone-conduction player, it seems my hearing can only truly "listen" to one thing at a time. For instance - if my wife approaches and begins speaking with me, I cannot understand her if my bone conduction earphones are playing. I 'could' turn down the volume, but it's so much quicker / easier if i simply pull out away from my ear.... which is just how i’d do with regular headphones. But again - this isn't a deal breaker. Just my own misunderstanding. Also - it's fun to clean out my ear, without losing the sound. This unit performs flawlessly in nearly all measurable ways. Now here's its 'ONE' and only recognisable 'Problem' - as well as its easy, free Solution:*PROBLEM: When using PURERINA Bone Conduction Headphones - if i try to listen to audio from older / “legacy” software (such as anything that came out before 2003) - its bluetooth connection will become "Disconnected" (the word its little voice whispers calmly into the bone of my skull).*SOLUTION: So to keep the Bluetooth connected, i just play some up-to-date software (such as YouTube, iTunes, or Windows Media Player) and turn down that volume all the way - so i can then listen to my old software without fear of disconnecting. At the time of this review - this unit retails for 39.99 ($ 7 greater than when i purchased this unit on Jan 23rd, 2023), so apparently other customers love it as much as i.To repeat - i love my Bluetooth 5.0 Sports Wireless PURERINA Bone Conduction Open Ear Headphones, i recommend them enthusiastically, and i will likely buy again. :D

Good audio quality, not adjustable fit
Have been using these Bluetooth headphones for almost a year. Top marks for audio quality, and durability. Admittedly I am not an audiophile, I listen mainly to podcasts and radio while dog walking/ house cleaning, but they serve my purpose wonderfully. Audio gets loud enough to be heard over traffic & vacuum. Love the bone conduction concept & being able to hear outside noises/people talking as a safety feature while walking outside. They are easy to pair with multiple devices. The controls are tiny, as is typical on all similar headphones. The power button is big enough to find easily while wearing. There are two other buttons, which each have multiple functions, depending on how long you or what pattern you press them. I have not bothered learning these patterns and control the audio mainly from my phone. They use a standard UBC charger and go from 0 to 100% charge in about two hours. If they go low battery while you are using them, there’s not much warning. Voice prompt of “low battery please recharge” plays every 10 seconds for three or four minutes before they turn themselves off.I do have two issues with these headphones, first, the fit. The portion that wraps around the back of your head is soft molded plastic with a little give, but cannot be reshaped. The earpieces are hard plastic and are a little too flat to fit comfortably over my ears. I do wear glasses, so I’m used to having a rub on the top of my ears. I can use these headphones for about two hours before the rub is uncomfortable enough that I want to take them off. Since they have absolutely no adjustability, I can’t tweak them to fit my head shape better. I can wear them comfortably with my glasses, but they do not fit under any type of hat, which can be a problem on winter walks outside. The second issue is with the Bluetooth pairing. They’re easy to pair, and capable of pairing with multiple devices, which is a plus. But when you turn them on, they will pair with every device you have paired them with that is within range whether it is active or not. I have them paired with my phone and my child’s iPad. If I turn them on inside the house, they pair with both devices even if the iPad is off. once I leave the house carrying my phone, it disconnects from the iPad and continues playing audio from the phone I have in my pocket, great. But once I’m far enough away from the house to disconnect from the iPad, the ear phones will power down because they have disconnected from a device even though my phone is still active on my person. This is slightly annoying because I then have to turn the headphones on again, and restart my audio from the phone. the only way I found to fix this is to keep the headphones paired to only one device at a time. Fortunately, the pairing process is easy enough that when you need to use a different device, you can pair quickly with that device for a few hours and then unpair it again. In summary, these bone conduction headphones are great for listening to podcasts, but could benefit from adding some sort of fit adjustment. I will continue using them as long as they keep working, but will probably look for a different set with some more curvature to the earpiece or adjustable fit when I need to replace them.

Insane value
I got these on a whim to see if I would like bone conduction before dropping the big bucks.I bought these at $20 and got at least $100 worth of use out of them. I lost them while shoveling snow so I came back to get another pair. I was poised to write a review saying they were too cheap, only to see them now at $15.The only 2 gripes I have with them are...Obviously, the microphone is complete trash, may as well not even bother including one. That's to be expected at this price point though, and to be frank anything under $50.Next is the most fair complaint which is the adhesive on the pads will eventually come lose and they are kind of useless when the pad comes off. If you catch it you can just reattach but eventually it starts coming off very easily and will stain anything it touches with the black goo. This is an easy fix though, just clean that off and glue it back on with good glue. That's it - otherwise these are honestly beyond flawless at this price point. I would be willing to pay up to maybe triple their price, then I would feel vindicated to complain about these things. As is, they are an absolute no brainier if you are looking for cheap bone conduction headphones. That said, I do think I may try something a little spendier this time since I know I like them a lot (but not too much, given I don't want the new pair to cost too much if it meets the same fate as the first).
