Q: What is the ingredients list - the listing shows magnesium breakdown but not Met4min breakdown?

It’s really poor product description, which I was going to point out when I review these. The back of the packet listing of ingredients does not include any Mg compounds. I suspect they’ve photographed the back of the Mg supplement but somehow managed to add it into the Met4Min product photographs, which is really misleading. Also, as an aside, I’m a little concerned that the Met4Min name is too close to Metformin, which is prescribed for diabetics and could gull people into thinking that this is a similarly formulated product. It isn’t.

Thanks for your question. No, this is not the medication metformin. This is a metformin alternative that is designed to target the same mechanisms using different ingredients. Metformin is a synthetic derivative of French Lilac (Galega officinalis). Our product combines four different ingredients. It is important to note that our product is not a replacement for a prescription of metformin from a GP. Many people are not able to get a prescription and in this instance, our product could be considered a metformin replacement. I hope this helps :)

I'm just guessing here, but when UK suppliers say something is 'made in the UK' they usually mean they have assembled the product in the UK but the actual ingredients are imported from China or elsewher. Most supplements, even prescribed medications, are now manufactured in China and imported to various countries and bottled there (in this case the UK). I think you'll find we no longer manufacture much here anymore and it's all outsourced to China and elsewhere. It would probably be more precise to say it is 'prepared in the UK' imo. However it isn't as bad as it sounds as they usually have the means to test the quality of the ingredients and ensure it is what it claims, nothing dodgy in it, and then they can prepare and bottle it for sale. Contact the supplier and see if they can give you a more precise answer.

Waiting to see if effective but …

I have just ordered a second packet for my husband who is type 2. He’s been taking one capsule a day alongside others supplements and is due to get his bloods done again this week. His meds had also changed so I’m hoping for a better result although appreciate it’s not all down to supplements. Otherwise easy capsule to take. No issues with supplier.

Disappointed its 250mg not 500mg

Very sneaky way of advertising, I thought it was 500mg because the actual labelling says 500mg and Amazon says6000What is all that about????Well not buying it gain - false advertisingMade me believe it was 500 mg when it's 250mg.

Too soon to give my verdict on this

Prompt service and delivery but not impressed with the way it was packaged and delivered . This should have been in bottles or bluster pack . So not sure of its efficacy as the packaging may not be the correct protection . There is the possibility that these may fall out of the plastic bag when taking them out and if several fall out of the bag , these will become contaminated and unsafe to swallow . Whoever dispensed these could not have taken into consideration the health and safety aspects …. focus being on making quick bucks . Future buyers must take these points I have made , into consideration. I worked for decades in the NHS .

I’m really not sure about this product and you will have to treat it with caution. It does increase flatulence and stomach cramps which is not pleasant. I also experienced daily diarrhea. Did it help? No
