Q: Does the mesh have a zipper so a passenger can sit and the dog?

No zip on the mesh section. If I carry a rear seat passenger, I just fold the cover in half. The dog then has half the rear seat. Hope this helps.

Yes. if you wanted to. The sides are zipped and clipped to the front so it would be a case of just leaving those unfastened and dropping the front bit down into the footwell. There are straps attached to the top of the sides that fasten to the roof handles of your car (if fitted) so this would keep the sides in place to protect the doors.

Q: Will this hammock fit a mini cooper ?

It fits my 4x4 width and length, it will fit your Mini Cooper but may be too long, you will have to check the measurements first, hope this helps
