I am new to hand-building and throwing clay.Good quality tools at a great price. GreatI love that I can open the case and see everything at once. There is still a little room to add a couple of tools that maybe aren’t in there.

I ordered this set as I venture into air dry clay crafting and restoration of a 5 ft tall angel which needs a significant level of texturing and what not. This set is durable, provides many options. The only tool I had to purchase separately was the wire to cut the clay from whatever surface you start on. No biggie that extra item was only a few dollars. So far, all the tools seem sturdy and the case to keep the tools organized is perfect allowing you to keep your work space uncluttered.

Most comprehensive collection of tools for a potter that I have ever seen for the price. I love this and use most of the tools in my designs on my handbuilt pottery pieces. They can also be used for carving on thrown pieces as well. Best thing I have purchased lately for my studio!

Used these for a mortuary science restorative art class. Although an odd application, they work great for wax work. You get a bunch of tools for a good price.

I researched a ton of different sculpting tool kits knowing that I wanted a large variety of sturdy tools with a great case to keep them in. Unfortunately it's tough to know what your getting until you actually see it. There are so many of these kits and the ones that had good reputations all came without cases.This one looked like a good set so I went with it for the price. The case does not disappoint although the space that contains the ball head tools doesn't really hold them well. It needs more individual loops to hold tools. In retrospect the roll out case would've probably been better.The wood tools feel cheap but I'm sure they will work. The ball heads and smoothing tools have sturdy builds and feel wonderful. Too bad the wooden tools aren't quite there. And the black plastic tools, while useful, feel like plastic utensils to me. I would have just left them out rather than using such cheap stuff.In summary, as a beginner to poly clay sculpting this set delivers and is definitely worth it. I would give it 4 stars if the wood tools didn't make up so much of the set. If I could do half stars I would have gone with 3.5.My suggestion is to buy a really nice set without the case and just buy a roll out case. I plan to replace the wood tools with better ones and use the case that came with these. I'll update once I have more time to see how they stand up to use.
