Easy Install. Works.
When I adjusted the aim of my Godox V860iii speedlite, the whole unit just snapped off my camera. I thought, "great, there's another $200 I'll have to spend!" When I saw the hotshoe foot is what broke, I searched for a replacement part and was happy to see they were available. This one was very easy to install, just had to take out the 4 screws, pull up the old assembly, and carefully pull out the ribbon cable. Installing the new ribbon cable was the toughest part since it's so small grasping it is tough. Once it was started in the slot, I just used my precision screwdriver and put some pressure on the "t" portion of the cable, alternating on each side of the "t" until the cable was fully seated. 4 screws back in and I was able to test. The flash works! Easy. I don't know that this foot is any stronger than the original, but I know I'm back to using my flash for now.

21 bucks or 229 bucks? Save your flash!!!
I was about to toss out my flash when I stumbled upon this replacement part, and I'm really glad I did! Initially, I was a bit skeptical about whether this part would actually fix my broken mount foot, but after just 5 minutes of fiddling, I managed to salvage my flash. The original mount design is definitely flawed—four tiny screws and four plastic studs hold up the entire flash body, which seems like a recipe for disaster. Unfortunately, my fears came true during a wedding when the flash split in half.To replace the mount, you’ll need a T5 Torx screwdriver. The new shoe is all metal, which is a significant upgrade. I can't see how the two halves of the mount are attached. However, it does feel sturdier than the original, and I’m hopeful it will hold up better in the field.Overall, if you’re dealing with a broken flash mount, this replacement part is a great fix!I hope you found this helpful!

Arrived as pictured. Easy install. Metal is sturdier than original plastic.
Purchased to fix what I thought was a faulty flash. I had no other accessories to diagnose if my Sony camera was the issue. Turns out my Sony hotshoe IS the issue. BUT this replacement was needed anyways as a plastic bit above the prongs broke off just two days ago on the flash and that's an issue. For $20 it saved me from dropping at least $120 bucks on another used or new flash, and I do love this flash. Product looks exactly as pictured, took about 2 minutes to install including the screws. It came with a plastic piece protecting the prongs which I also highly recommend you put on your camera's hotshoe as well, or buy replacements if you lost yours like mine.

The flash mount that these flashes should have originally come with
I know I saved money with the Godox vs. the Sony flashes. I was able to buy three of them for the price of one Sony but using plastic on the foot is ridiculous. I don't use these flashes often since I only get them out for family portraits but the foot broke on one in the middle of my last shoot. I was able to finish but I figured I was going to have to deal with a painful repair process or have to buy a new one (yikes!).I found these feet here at Amazon and discovered they were metal like they should have been all along. I ordered three since it just makes sense to replace them all while I can.Replacing the old feet was super simple. Undo four tiny screws, pull the ribbon cable, insert the new ribbon cable and screw in the four tiny screws. All three flashes were done and tested in less than 15 minutes.I recommend getting these even if you don't need them yet because chances are that you will and they might not be available. Plus there is the hassle of dealing with a break when you really need the flash.

Godox V1 for Sony
Installed really easy with just the 4 screws that are already on the flash and connecting the one wire. Seems to be pretty sturdy and most importantly it's working on my hot shoe. Overall great and simple to install.

A useful addition to the godox V1 flash.
The media could not be loaded. The godox V1 flash is a wonderful tool for the photographer. But the foot is a distinct week point. It tends to break when you really don't want it to. Fortunately this replacement foot is easy to use. It will bring the functionality of your flash back up to par in no time. Fixing it yourself means that you can get it done for a much better price than if you had to send it off somewhere. Please note that boast about it being metal does not mean it won't break again. The break happens higher up where it is plastic.
