This pancake mix is delicious. You just add 100 mL of milk and one egg and you’re good to go. It makes about four super fluffy pancakes per packet.

Best of the best . It’s light and fluffy! I even use this mix to make HK style egg waffles.But, Amazon is way more expensive than Asian grocery stores.

When I had these amazing, puffy, ethereal pancakes in Japan I truly felt like I found the holy grail of food! I was there with my oldest son and all we could talk about was trying to figure out how to make these at home in the US. Well the Morinaga Hot Cake Mix was the answer! It worked well the very first time I tried it (I followed directions exactly plus I bought non-stick, silicon pancake rings which helped keep the thick pancakes from running). Man these pancakes were good and a lot more convenient than going to Japan!

Cook lower than an American pancake. I used crumpet rings, oiled with ghee. I filled the rings with a regular size spring handle ice cream scoop (2oz I think), and it is just the right amount for crumpet rings. Tent foil over rings while cooking, until the batter rises to the top. When the rings slide easily, flip the pancake, ring and all over. A flat pan helps when it comes to flipping. These are delicately flavored and I like them plain with no toppings or with macerated fruit.

It's easy to make but relatively small and pricey...

Haven't had Japanese pancakes in about 15 years. So glad I found this on here.Pancakes turn out fluffy and buttery. Without having to modify or add anything else.
