Great advice in this book and pretty pictures
Freezing is such a blessing in our modern times. It saves so much money and is a great way to store food to easily use and create easy meals from day to day. The author is very experienced in freezing food and divulges all of her tips and tricks for someone who is new to freezing food and might feel intimidated. This book got me into using silicone molds to create easy to grab portions of ingredients. She also taught me how to freeze on a tray before bagging so that way you can just grab a handful of whatever while cooking (example: chopped onion).

Great for beginners
Wonderful recipes and easy to follow instructions. Great book for beginners who want to learn how to start preserving food if they are not ready to persevere food by using water bath or pressure canners.

Thorough & great resource for eating seasonally & living from the land
I follow Crystal on Instagram, and finally got her book. All of your questions will be answered about freezing, because that is how she rolls:) She's extremely thorough, and has been doing the 'food' thing for so long she knows all the what's & hows. This book has great pictures as well! But my favorite thing about it are the recipes & practical suggestions on what to freeze, which will save you lots of time & get you on track much faster than if you figured everything out yourself as a newbie. I think people get excited about homesteading/preserving their own food, so they start stashing things away but may not actually use everything if there is no 'plan'. Crystal gives you an idea of what to put away, and recipes to go with. I definitely suggest finding meals you make the most/enjoy, then preserving items from those recipes! Especially for certain ingredients that are costly or not that great of quality from the grocery store (like organic potatoes for instance...very costly! berries too!). I look forward to trying out some of these delicious recipes this year....thanks Crystal!

Great info for instant use
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this book! I have a backyard garden, growing food to eat and share with family and friends. I have reached my goal of sharing enough food for those around me, and now I need to begin preserving some food. Canning will come next year, but since I am just beginning, I bought this book to get started! Not only does it explain how to preserve food in a freezer, it has recipes to use foods as you thaw them and recipes to make and freeze. Great information that can be used instantly!

Good intro book
Good ideas and some good recipes. I wish the book was arranged differently; ie. All the freezer techniques in one chapter, then all the recipes in a separate chapter. That way when scrolling through to find your item, you can go straight to it without having to scroll through the recipes for each item.

Really spectacular book
If you don't have time to can your foods, this book might just be for you. I bought it specifically for the pizza sauce recipe, and I was not disappointed. The advice on freezing the foods is top notch, and the recipes are also really good too. I've also made the squash Bolognese, which was excellent. The pumpkin bread recipe is superb. I use the cherry filling out of the cherry bar recipe and double it as a pie filling for Danish butter braids and also for the fruit filling in the fruit delight I make. You can also use it for pie filling as well. It is so easy!!! This book does not disappoint.

Handy Reference Book
Book is well put together with nice pictures. Fruits and vegetables are alphabetic for quick reference. There is additional information about freezers and containers. We are supposed to eat more dark leafy greens. The book has helpful ideas about freezing greens in serving size amounts which are easy to add to meals.I had a pile of produce all prepped and ready to go into my fairly new, fancy brand juicer but it failed to start. Fortunately, I had this book! Some of the 5 lbs. of carrots became Honey-Butter Carrot Mash, now stocked in the freezer. Also made the Carrot-Coconut Almond Flour Muffins, a good recipe that is less sweet and more substantial.I am not comfortable with canning, so this book is especially helpful for preserving.A good companion to this book might be Fridge Love by Kristen Hong.
