It works well with my HDMI cable and RCA cable.

I used this device to simplify the interface between my Denon AVR receiver and a VCR. It works just as it should. Anyone complaining about the picture has forgotten what TV low resolution looked like prior to HD and 4k.

Be aware there is a tiny switch which may be set to PAL, you need NTSC in the USA.Working with an old Sharp 480p flat screen TV. My only minor complaint is that you get a short USB mini b cable with it. Micro USB was what I expected, I always have spares of those cables that I get on Amazon. I have almost nothing using that old style cell phone USB cable so I don't have a longer one handy. Which means the power strip is right next to the TV, not where I'd prefer to have it. If Amazon doesn't have one, eBay definitely will. Would recommend this HDMI to AV converter to anyone who wants to repurpose an old flat screen TV because the new one broke, got the used Fire Stick and this converter for less than $20.

The produce does exactly what it is intended to do, it easily converts an old device (5 disc DVD player) that has RCA outputs to a modern device (Denon receiver) that has HDMI inputs. The quality of the video is not enhanced. It remains low-res, which seems magnified on a 4K LED TV. The quality of the original stereo audio is enhanced by my receiver, as it is broadcast through the surround sound speakers.My only gripe about the entire device is the power situation. The device is powered by a USB to mini-A cord. You provide your own power cube to plug the USB into. The included cable is approximately 12-inches long. This means the converter device needs to be within a foot of an outlet. This is not a problem if you RCA and HDMI cables are long enough to reach. Otherwise, you also have to provide your own long mini-A cable (Note - your regular micro-A or micro-B cable that came with your cell phone will not work).

The box did not work at all. Very disappointing. Fortunately, most vcrs and smart tv have a cable out and cable in connection. I just ran a coax cable and did a scan for new channels both digital and air. It found the VCR as channel 3.

Bought it to play my playstation 2 on my 70 inch. Samsung TV. The picture quality and sound is great. It was simple and easy to set up and we'll worth the money.

Really wish the USB power port was on the back... I know, I could probably had seen this coming from pictures. But having never purchased a ABY connector like this before I assumed it was on the back with the rest of the cables.It works as described. Small profile except it has wires coming out of it front and back... Could have been a perfect little tool in the kit. But alas I will take better care looking at photo's of products I guess.
