40 Facts About Uganda: For Kids, Fun Facts About Uganda, Sports, Nature, Food, Culture, Continent & More Paperback – March 27, 2022

I like the book very much as it is educational to the kids and to some extend adults who want to know facts about Uganda. I bought it for my niece who has never been to Uganda though her grandparents are Ugandans. It can be used as a handbook for anybody including tourists. I am thinking of ordering another one for my library for visitors of all ages.

As someone who travels to Uganda three times a year, I’m not an expert and still learned some things, but also felt there was absolutely nothing special about this book. I was hoping to use it to help educate my niece, but it’s just 40 pretty random facts with no additional information and very few photos. It feels almost like this author may make a book about many countries using just random info they pull off the web and without taking much time to find corresponding images or content. If the text were small and the photos bigger, I may have kept it, but 80 percent of the page is a white text box with large words on it, obscuring the semi-generic photos that are there. Still could be helpful since there aren’t many books like this, but not what I was hoping for.
