DuraComfort Portable Air Conditioners, 14000 BTU(ASHRAE) /10400 BTU (SACC), Dehumidifier, Cooling Fan, AC for Room,450 Sq.Ft

This thing puts out a lot of cold air and its quiet. To me that says a lot.. This is the fourth portable air conditioner I have had. I have only had it for two days so I cannot speak to its longevity.That said. its beautiful. Very well made and cools like a beast. This is the bigger unit by BTU that I have had and it is still considerably quieter than any of my previous units.Its in a 350 sq ft room. Today i put it on its lowest setting of 64 degrees on a outside temperature of 85 just to see what it would. I measured using two different thermometers and it got a reading of 65 on both.I stressed out , lol and did a lot of research and finally pulled the trigger on this one. I worried that not being one of the big brands would be a problem. The reviews were good so I went ahead and bought it on faith.So far so good. If i have any problems I will update my review but so far it has exceeded my expectations.Update. I've had it for 51 days now. I am updating just to say this unit is on a par with any major brand. I'm in Oklahoma. 99 degree heat and this unit continues to perform. 75% humidity levels yet I never have to drain this machine. Super quiet and on auto mode the fan shuts off completely as soon as it reaches set temperature and comes back on when it needs to.

So, we bought this ac unit in August of 2022, used it for the remainder of the 2022 season and it worked with no issues. Stored the unit in a closet for the winter. When we got the cooler out this last month we plugged it back in and started using it again. We'll it cools just fine and runs quiet for a while but after it's been running for about 20 minutes it starts making a noise, kinda like bearings going out but not squealing. This now runs so loud that you cannot even watch TV in the same room.Not very happy...

The reviews on this machine prompted me to purchase it. It is an efficient machine and is much quieter than other air conditioners I have owned. The remote is complicated, and I haven't yet figured out how to get it to work through my Apple iphone, but I will when I have more time. I will probably ask the technicians at Best Buy for help.

Initially when I received it, loved it…then a few months later, it stopped cooling. Then I contacted the manufacturer and they DID send me another unit. However, they wanted the old one back. I had figure out a way to pack it all up. They wanted me to ship it FedEx ground and said they would reimburse me. I said NO…you send me the shipping cost before I spend the money. I got a quote so they knew the amount. They credited my initial Amazon purchase for this shipping amount. I then (now having the cost up front), packed it all up, went to FedEx and shipped it. They then sent me another unit. The Wi-Fi function did NOT work. That was one of the main reasons I bought it…that I could control it through an app. They insinuated I didn’t know how to setup the Wi-Fi. I previously set up the WiFi on the original unit, so YES, I know how to set it up. The vent on the 2nd unit also did NOT oscillate up and down like it should. I was just fed up, so I just accepted it as is because I did not want to go through more aggravation. Well, more aggravation just occurred…this 2nd unit just stopped cooling. It cools for a few minutes and then blows hot air. I’ve never been so aggravated by a product.

I bought this portable ac unit and was very pleased with it. The area is about 300 square ft and it cooled it great. About 5 months after purchase the control board stopped working. None of the buttons would work and the remote would not respond. Contacted customer service with really no expectations that anything would be done. I thought they would put me off and say that after 30 days the problem was mine. To my surprise I was wrong. I contacted Pyle customer service agent Shiena. She went out of her way to ensure that my problem was resolved. We stayed in contact for about 1 week and in the end she sent me a complete new ac unit!! UNBELIEVABLE!! I haven't had service like that since...well never. Don't hesitate to buy. Great product and even better customer service. Thanks again to Shiena and the Pyle Customer Support Team.

Nice strong machine.Can't connect to wi-fi for remote control. Spent severwl gours gotcit connected and the dog gone thing just won't work.Also fan blows on one speed high even when switching power levels.Fortunately for .e when I need it I need it strong but I will contact the seller to complain.For the power yes I would buy again but with the issues heck no!If my unit was faulty I would by again but too me it's not worth the hassle of re-sending products back because its too stressful.I would rather buy large appiances in store within reach if something goes wrong

Unit would not turn on. I tried to reset it as described in the manual, but to no avail. The green light was lit at the power cord, so I know it was getting voltage to the unit. I contacted Customer Service and they contacted UPS and they are coming to pick it up and send a replacement. Amazon thank you for an excellent return policy.I received my replacement from Amazon in two days. We unboxed it and installed it in the window and it works great! Thank you Dura! You have a wonderful product! I would recommend this unit to everyone who is looking for a portable air conditioner.

I was hesitant at first because this isn’t a brand that I’ve heard of before but after setting it up my space cooled down quickly during these humid weather!! The only issue I had was setting up the wifi. The instructions and illustrations aren’t the best but I finally figured it out!
